an expensive 7" for RSD

I you do not have this one here is the chance to get it on crystal clear vinyl and it is a fantastic score!

One thing to note about the "Battlefield" release. You can get this directly from the label for nearly half of what Soundohm has it for - plus you get an additional 7"

Actually, I may retract what I wrote. The label has it has a 7" but lists all the tracks that the album has (I thought the 7" was additional). Soundohm has it as an LP. Confusing.

I reached out to the Shukai label concerning the format of "Battlefield, 1986." They wrote back that it is indeed a 7" and that they'd contact Soundohm about its listing to correct it. I imagine Soundohm's price will come down, too.

Good call! Thanks. I also noticed the difference but thought there would be a full LP as well as a 7”.

This sounds very interesting.

In 1969, Marion Brown, who moved to Europe two years earlier, records, in the legendary Parisian studio Davout, the soundtrack of the movie by Marcel Camus entitled “Le Temps Fou”. The movie starred Nino Ferrer was out in 1970 under the title “Un Été Sauvage”. Fallen into oblivion, “Le Temps Fou” was printed in very few copies and is almost impossible to find in its original pressing.
More info here: https://www.soundohm.com/product/le-temps-fou-lp-1

In 2019 a bootleg was made containing a severe pressing mistake during the first 30 seconds of track A1. This new release should be 100% official.

RSD Release for July. Talk to your local shops if you want a copy. If you are a TV Clubber you get a copy.
He was going to release a Skeletal Family repress under his never not goth label as well, I hope that’s still coming. I just dropped a bunch on some graveface releases on a whim.

I assume it will be based on the bootleg CD.
I've known about this for a while. The release date has changed a bunch of times... we'll see. Based on the track titles yeah it seems this is using the CD boot (minus the dialogue bits) which itself is pulled from an old dvd edition in the late 90s and sounds pretty weak sauce- interesting to hear if they spent any effort in improving upon it.

Mondo just announced Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake

Very excited about this one, it's an incredible soundtrack and one I will probably miss out on because I can't buy any records this week lol.

Hopefully Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is next followed by Snake Eater. I love both of those soundtracks and really hope they come out this year.

A few images of The Keep rsd release are popping up online. Pretty uninspiring back sleeve design, though it does look like the whole lp comes wrapped in a wide horizontal 'OBI'.

@Static: I still need to watch that movie. I was planning on soon before I watch Tony Scott's version. I do love Quartet Records. Excellent quality and great selection of scores.

Some different stuff that recently went up for sale that sound interesting.
This one I believe ScoJo has mentioned before (new stock it appears to be):

Tomislav Simović: Visitors From The Galaxy - Gosti iz Galaksije OST
https://www.soundohm.com/product/visito ... the-galaxy

on the same label this very interesting one:

Alfi Kabiljo: Sex, Crime & Politics - Cinematic Disco, Jazz & Electronica from Yugoslavia 1974-1984
Image
One of the films, Honeymoon (1983), labelled first soft-porn in Yugoslavia, caused scandal and critical backlash, but Kabiljo never seemed to bother with provincial morals. The score for Deps (1974), starring Bekim Fehmiu and Milena Dravic is also included, adding funk groove to the overall beat, while critically acclaimed The Journalist (1979) starring Rade Serbedzija and Milena Zupancic launched it into faster, danceable disco gear. The sum of six different films compiled here override its parts and make the continuous flow of one completely new and imaginary film called Sex, Crime & Politics. One might call it a socialist version of Bernard Herrmann’s Taxi Driver.
And you all probably already now about the new Four Flies:

I'm not a huge fan of those Sacred Bones sets, they look cool but don't fit on my shelves and the cost is way more than I really want to pay for a rerecorded version of a cue or two.
