Mayhem - Steven Moore

I haven't heard this score in a while and it's much better than I remembered. Funny little story about the production of the film, Joe Lynch the director pronounced it "MAY-HAM" all through production and into the months of promoting it, his friend and podcast co-host, Adam Green, finally called him out on saying it wrong the whole time and it was quite funny to hear them argue and make fun of it.

This is one that took a couple of listens for me. It's really good and can currently be found for around $15 on discogs and one seller has it for $10 on ebay. Well worth it.

Yeah, I grabbed it direct from the label a few weeks ago for $10. They have all of Steve's albums for $10 currently. (Bliss, Mayhem, Mind's Eye)

I'm a happy Okki Nokki owner. had if for a number of years, and earlier this year the motor in mine went belly up and even though I was out of warranty ON fixed it for chump change.

And you say the Okki Nokki is fairly easy to use?

Very. Two switches. One controls platter direction left/off/right. Other vacuum on/off. Footprint is the size of an Lp sleeve.

It looks great but man that price tag. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind paying for a well built good quality machine. But yeah talk about sticker shock. Might have to start saving my sheckels. :) what other expenses are there? I would assume some sort of cleaning solution? How long does a bottle last? Can you reuse the solution?

I use a record doctor brush (but the ON does come with one of it’s own) and AIVS one step cleaning fluid, but there are a butt ton to choose from. The only thing on the ON that needs to be replaced are the “velvet lips” on the vacuum tube. I’d say those need to be replaced every 300 records or so. Give or take.

I got to ask @static that little pad of paper do you count your uses so you know when it’s time to replace? If so I think that’s a pretty smart idea.

pulled a ScoJo on this one. I have the UK TER release and didn't really plan on going for the VS release, especially seeing the steady increase in price on this one. But came across it on ebay with a starting bit of 1 cent and ended up winning it for $6.50. The seller was pretty vague on it's condition and had an "as is" statement in the discription but a good clean and it's sounding pretty great.
