Just had a sweet little afternoon run, some faves and some neglected sides from my orchards...

@ScoJo: Fantastic! Most of these are on my wishlist. Sitting Target is just so badass, I really need to get hold of that one again (used to have it on CD).

Cul de Sac!

I just watched The American Friend and was intrigued by the score (and liked the movie). It seems the full score wasn‘t released.

That Sitting Target main theme is just ridiculously Axelrod, so good. Myers is an underrated guy for sure.

I have always been very fond of American Friend since discovering at quite a young age along with lots of other foreign movies on Channel 4 here in UK. Love Kneiper's score and his music from River's Edge, made a huge impact on me. This is a terrific lp as are the two Road Movies volumes of Wender's scores. Yeah shame the full American Friend score isn't available :( I recorded the main theme from vhs back in the day and learned to play on guitar.

Just checked discogs, no good deal on Sitting Target or the Knieper comp (great if I were in the US) right now - but these are very much on my radar now.

Wim Wenders is gold. American Friend is so good and some of Robby Mullers best camera work, the look of that movie is awesome.

That film also intro'd me to Highsmith, read a ton of her stuff consequently - so good

Great spins, @scojo that Michel le grande "the lady in a car with glasses and a gun" has been a want of mine for like 20 years or so, I've actually forgotten what it sounds like, need to check it again :D

It's really top cool, Dollar. The original Vogue goes for quite a bit but you can pick up the Petra reissue quite cheap, like £10-£20 :)

Money.
Oh shit, I just had an incredible idea - how fucking cool would it be if someone reissued/expanded this with a blank etched or hologram side that revealed the counterfeit money plates when you breathed on them, just like in this shot?
