Ship to Shore PhonoCo. It's mainly score, but it has a few other songs, such as one of Clara Rockmore playing "Ave Maria" on the theremin.

finally on the table
Tim how does that sound...and where did you order it from?
Sounds really good Evan, got it from here http://www.fnac.com/a15195647/John-Carp ... _6befa2d6 comes from France and is on the upper end costwise.

@Revolver @ScoJo

Yeah, got it direct from Transmission, no. 110/500. I had already ordered from Bandcamp but haven't had any notification about that one yet.

The preview tracks for this third helping didn't light my fire with the hotness the previous two albums had, but, y'know, it's Carpenter, so...hoping it will be a grower.

Side A is quite ambient, a bit Tangerine Dream and prog in places... Side 2 is where it ramps up and is more what we'd expect... featuring more of Daniel Davies' guitar 'skronk' and sounding more powerful generally

Nice Japanese pressing there @Bez!

I know that cover for LT3 was made to showcase the three of them but due to the way they tried to overlap Daniel and John's glasses it really pushed poor Cody to the back visually.

@inksb

It looks like the three of them had individual portraits shot, and when the designer called the portraits up on screen he thought 'hang on a second... if I just merge these... that's clever!'

I guess if they'd planned it in advance, they could have all been wearing specs.. or perhaps sunglasses like that moment in the live shows where they perform the They Live theme...

That said, all of them wearing shades may have made it look like some dodgy 1980s We Can't dance era Genesis album cover (!)

You say that like it's a bad thing! haha

I can't wait to hear it. My copy shipped and should be arriving tomorrow.

Unfortunately in other JC news, my copy of Village of the Damned has been put on hold in Ohio for some reason. It was supposed to be delivered today.

Late 80s/early 90s... all a blur!

This from Wikipedia:

"Originally the band did not think of it as anything more than a joke, because the song was too simple, too bluesy and completely unlike Genesis' style. Tony Banks said in an interview "It was one of those bits you thought was going to go nowhere. It sounded fun, but wasn't really special".

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on that one! :)
