I love IceT did you know the track Midnight isn’t on the LP version of OG just the CD. Or are you referencing Six in the morning? I can’t remember all the lyrics.

I never had the promo double either. But I'm positive Midnight made an appearance on a 12" and I think it was either OG or New Jack Hustler. Either way, it's there for you.

I know there definitely is a 12” single for Midnight not sure if the mix is different from the OG version.

I love IceT in New Jack Hustler. Between that and Surviving the Game he can do no wrong in my eyes.

At the moment I am placing this at the same spot as No Retreat, No Surrender. A really different movie but an enjoyable one. As is Kickboxer but the first third of it I didn't really care for. Bloodsport stays at 1 easily.

Watched again last night. So good. I wish Harrison Ford had played more baddies.

One thing that's always bugged(!) me though is the party scene – it seems so out of character that Harry would invite people up to his workshop, but I guess it's a necessary plot contrivance?

4. Kickboxer (1989)

Great minds think alike I was planning on watching this tonight in anticipation of the Tiger Lab release of the soundtrack. Whenever that is I can not wait.

Then after this, it's the tv premiere of a documentary I was sort of involved in, KING ROCKER made by comedian Stewart Lee and Michael Cumming (Toast of London, Brass Eye). It's a film about the post punk survivor Robert Lloyd of The Prefects/The Nightingales (John Peel's fave band!), and I think they've used some of my music videos in it :)

To explain the Kong reference - back in the 70s here in Birmingham uk, there was a gigantic artists' sculpture of the great ape in the city centre. When they had the option to keep it permanently, the people and city council decided to remove it. Goddamn fools!

Since we’re all in a Van Damme mood I have a question for everyone. Who’s the bigger/more opposing bad guy? Chong Li, Tong Po or Atilla? I think the most common answer is going to be Chong Li but my money is on Tong Po. If anyone wants to add any other big bad feel free. It might be a silly question but that’s what I was thinking about yesterday watching Kickboxer last night.

I just wanted to add why I chose those 3 and not others, I feel the plots to those movies are fairly similar. I could of added The Quest as well but I haven’t watched it in a while so I can’t really remember who the big bad is. I also really like Fender Tremolo as a heel. Speaking of Cyborg is that up next on your list @Bez?
