The dynamics of these masters appear to be on another level compared to the 'regular' pressings I normally play. I had no idea about the difference. Or am I imagining things?

I was messaging Jon a few weeks ago and he said that the first two releases of the sub are ready to go so I'm not sure what the hell they are waiting on. I remember when Vampire Hunter D was also supposed to be a Halloween release before being switched to part of the sub. It would be nice if they would publicly put out there whats going on, these were supposed to start in September? Lol

It's a whole new audiophile press, being mastered by the guy who did the Mort Garson Plantasia reissue. Josh Bonati Ithink is his name. Different artwork & packaging on the set, black vinyl 180g. I can't remember but I'm pretty sure no Forces, that was left off over crazy licensing issues. From what I've been told the vocal tracks on a lot of that stuff is very hard to license for various reasons.
Good to hear 3x3 eyes and Devilman the demonbird will be shipping shortly. I see they have now started tweeting, and we are getting Redline, I've heard of the show but not seen it. I checked the OST I think I will have mixed feelings, but happy to pick it up in another sub :P curious about this exclusive sub only op ed release ??🤔
Just watching a bit of demon bird, sounding like a really nice synth ost.

I normally prefer the normal releases in stead of the promo releases. But I could not find a copy of Chinatown with an obi and the above one wasn't expensive so I went with that. I might get another copy and put the obi on that one :-)

Finished unpacking :-)

Redline is actually a movie from 2009. It has some incredible animation and well worth checking out. I watched it when it came out but honestly don't remember much from it other than it being a visual treat. I recently obtained an HD version and plan to rewatch it. I'll have to pay attention to the score. The completionist in me will probably buy it if it's a standalone release.

I will say don't get your hopes up too much about them shipping soon. There has been no real communication publicly on when anything is shipping and I've been told stuff's been ready for a while, so it may have just been a reassuring statement. I'm hoping soon but honestly this whole sub has been really disappointing. They initially said the first release was almost ready to go before the sub even went up for sale and they said we wouldn't be waiting nearly as long for this sub and it's been 5 months with no info.

This is a great, all-around release, and a wonderful score.

Half speed mastering when done right can make a big impact on sound quality.

Static - Ghost Dog and Runaway. Niiiice.

reddye6 - That's a fine looking shred of herringbone.

The Division 13/Julie/walking out theme is one of my favorite Carpenter melodies/arrangements, this whole score is not talked about nearly enough, even by us here.

Agreed I bought this record a couple years ago. Played the crap out of it the. Kinda forgot about it. It’s definitely one of my favourites

Big fan of this movie.
I got to see a screening of this with her in attendance doing a q and a afterwards. Apparently she was dog walking for the woman who actually owned the house and in conversation mentioned it would be a great place to film a a movie and that’s what she did when she wasn’t walking dogs. Long story short the owners thought it was a cool idea and give them the house for like a long holiday weekend so she called up the director and they just worked around the set access they had.

Probably why Fassenden just shows up as a cop with his hair sticking out under the cap haha, (having seen him walking down the street a few times he pretty much always looks like that) imagine calling all the indie horror people in New York and being like “I’ve got this Harlem mansion for the next 72 hours...go!”
