@Nathanlurker - I have also received the asking for additional shipping money for the Vinyl and VHS of Blue Sunshine from Mondo. That's pretty despicable 4-5 weeks after an initial order, not happy at all

I ordered a single copy of Blue Sunshine and Here Comes the Devil the day after they went up on the site - came to $60 with dispatch to the UK.

A week later I got an email asking for another $5 and figured I'd get back to them and say that I wasn't up for spending anymore so please cancel and refund me.

I was lazy though and a couple of days passed by which time I was sent a dispatch confirmation... Somewhat confused I decided to just wait and see what happened.

Yesterday the LPs arrived (Black HCTD and transparent blue BS for anyone interested).

For a company which has inspired so much fan salivation and anticipation, Mondo certainly seems rather haphazardly operated.

I got my shipping notification two weeks afer i orderd. That is ok. Problem is that usps says electronic shipping info received for already a week. Nothing happens...

Its a international shipping. Anyone else got that problem before?

I always took that to mean that the sender has entered info to create the mailing label, but it hasn't actually dropped the package at the post office yet. Once the post office has the package and scans it into the system, then you start to see the status change.

I could be wrong. However, with Mondo (and sometimes other places) I've seen the "electronic shipping info received" status hang around for a while. For instance, with the Ghibli release and the shipping problems that they had initially, I had my shipping notice set at "electronic shipping info received" for about a month before it started to move along.

My Omen has been sitting at the "info received" status since yesterday. I figure I'll get it Friday or Monday.

Neither my "Blue Sunshine LP + Here Comes the Devil LP + Blue Sunshine VHS" order, nor my "The Omen LP" order has been shipped.

Besides, I was told to pay an additional 25 USD to cover separate shipment of Blue Sunshine VHS (which I did)

That is total garbage. The requests for additional shipping are totally arbitrary as well...I didn't get one...but still received my records. If there is a problem with the checkout, you have to eat the shipping if you are Mondo...total trash to think someone is paying one thing and then ping them for more money.

Literally just got email asking for another $28 postage costs. Told them to shove it (politely of course ). Luckily me old mucker hncreature bought me copies so all worked out nicely. Mondo really dropped the ball with this one. $28 my ass.

Same here just got an email asking for an additional $28. After checking there website & placing the same order the shipping is only $32, yet they want to charge me $48 total. Told them to cancel my order & refund me, luckily I paid by paypal so I just opened a case.

Once my refund has been processed, I'll probably place a new order, but just order 1 of each. That will be $65 total, which isn't too bad.

Of course, if customs (Danish 25 % VAT + $30 flat handling fee) get a hold of it, it will be a whole other ballgame, but I asked Mondo, and they said that all internatinal orders were marked at low value, so we'll see.

You see all these orders that have yet to be filled...people that have not been contacted...people being contacted for more money, yet...if you check on the instagram account for the guy running the whole thing...he's busy going on about unloading all the toys he has in his collection in his new place. Is that really what all of Mondo's customers want to see when we've sent him all our money with nothing to show for it?

I find that a bit insulting, honestly. They need to get their shit together, or they should just be abandoned totally in favor of supporting these other labels that don't ignore their customers and shit right in their face with how many fun toys they're buying thanks to our money.

Its a real bummer as i really do like a lot of their releases but have heard tons of complaints from irritated customers. Def not a good sign for a business. It may be only matter of time before word really starts to spread (if it hasnt already) and their business will start to feel it.

I doubt it will effect their business that much if any. I think the vast majority of people that order from them aren't going to let a delayed order or other issue get in the way of a release they want.

Just check out their twitter feed sometime. You'll see all kinds of compliants... Yet, there are still people who spend the night outside of Mondo's gallery in Austin Texas waiting to be the first ones to buy prints when they go on sale. Literally.

Yes I received an email back within a few mins saying a refund would be issued within 3 days. Not prepared to wait so I opened a paypal dispute & got all my money back within 10 mins.

Yeah that's what really sucks about all this vinyl reissue stuff...if they release a title that has never come out on vinyl, or the alternative is to buy the really expensive original issue... You're going to still buy from mondo no matter how awful they treat you, because you just want the music on vinyl.

Hopefully one day they'll do a better job. It would be great if someone would buy them out. Someone with actual business experience.

Received my orders yesterday, one copy of each release, paid the $5 extra, took 4 weeks to arrive (I am familiar with oversea shipping delays to Europe). One variant, one black (I like black vinyl!), both sound great, while Devil is really quite interesting. Cover art is great as usual.



I am going to buy Mondo releases again, but I am not sure if I will buy directly from Mondo again after having read all your notes and having experienced similar issues.

3 days ago I paid for the extra shipping money for my order of 2 BS Vhs, 2 BS vinyls and 2 HCTD. It would have cost more than 17$ to ship those 6 items even if it was in one package. It just is annoying to pay 3 time 17$ when it could have been maybe 30-35$ max to ship all in one package. The most annoying is also that it took 3-4 weeks to get an email from Mondo about that. anyway 2 days ago those 3 packages for BS and HCTD shipped.

From the latest notes in the tracking, it has not yet passed the borders. I'm guessing it will arrive to me in Canada next week.

I just received a shipping notification for my 2 copies of The Omen.

I'm going to get Gravity but probably will wait until it hits amazon. I don't think it will sell out before going on amazon.

I'd order from Mondo again if I think I might miss on something good, but otherwise I'll get a few of their stuff on amazon. It's all about expectation. I know now to expect 17$ of shipping for every 2 items I'll buy
