It's a mister disc portable player, also called sound burger outside the US. went for one on the bay that had been refurbished with new capacitors and upgraded with an audiophile grade MM cart.
I've listened to maybe ten LPs on it so far. It sounds very good, though the technics unsurprisingly destroys it even with an inferior cart-- although I can really hear a huge difference on horns that makes me want to set up one of these technics with a higher end cart. Big horns can blare on the M44-G but not the case on this AT140LC. Runs on AC or 3x C batteries. RCA or headphone out. Built in pre amp but does need some gain.
I find it's weaknesses are warped discs, groove issues (it can't track like a monster), and heavy platters are not good. Spun one that must be 180-200g and I could hear it struggle and drop speed at times. It's a tiny platter belt driven and probably just not designed for that kind of superweight vinyl.
I just don't want to break it, the plastic is old, the AC adapter would be tough or impossible to replace, and there are stylus options but they are audiophile tier prices with this K type cart.
Apparently there is a recent crosley knockoff that is unsurprisingly a cheap piece of shit to be avoided.
