Hi Spencer,

firstly thanks for putting out such a good product, loving the artwork, the release selections and everything else. So big up for that, I am sorry to mention this as I know that your gonna be pretty swamped with things due to the demand coupled with the tech problems however
I was also getting mad things going on in the order, it kept changing what i was putting into my cart. I finally got 2 orders made and then realised that it had changed my black vinyl copy of the fog to the other one I only realised when i was looking back over the payment info and noticed the record was listed at £25 not £35. I tried to purchase it again and had it in my cart but kept getting kicked out of the payment stage. Then eventually I missed out.Am pretty gutted, Also I have 3 orders with you now, is it possible to just get them all shipped as one rather then 3? thanks to you and all the DW team

Everything that Purplemule74 had to say. After buying multiple copies of every release and stalking the site daily looking for The Fog and Maniac, I logged on tonight to find out that I couldnt get either. Hoping that eBay prices arent too brutal in the next few weeks. If anyone wants to trade any records or sell a spare copy of either of these releases, please contact me @ jimmy74@gmail.com . I am an avid soundtrack collector, record store employee and I have a small vinyl label here in Baltimore, MD and would be glad to trade or buy from you.

Thank you Death Waltz for continuing to be my FAVORITE record label currently chugging along. Youre an inspiration and I cant tell you how much I am enjoying every single release that you have done.

I had that problem, You are paying with your paypal account? Just place an order where the Billing information is the same as the Shipping information. It all goes to PayPal anyways and you can just pay from there.

The clear version of The Fog was in my cart, checkout was engaged and shipping cost made me hesitate. And then, it was too late....
Never hesitate. Ever.
(and it's sold out on all the websites I could find... what a great tragedy)

But House by the Cemetery and Twins of Evil will arrive soon and my sorrow should vanish quickly. Maybe.

I must say I haven't missed the chaos of trying to order the records! It seems a lot of sites buckle under the pressure these days, so it's to be expected. There's nothing wrong with some nail biting...

I'm hoping to be able to afford the Maniac release a little later, as it does look far nicer than Mondo's. But I need to find $$ for that damn sub #3 that'll be coming up soon.

It's a bitter sweet day when you can pretty much only afford DW releases. I need to move back to the UK!

just want to get an opinion from everyone. the DW maniac release and the soon coming mondo maniac release. do you think that it will make the original mondo release less valuable or more valuable. i think it could go eather way

the new maniac soundtrack from Mondo & DW is for the new Maniac movie and the original Mondo release is a reissue of the original Maniac movie soundtrack. so I don't see how it would affect the "value" at all.

yea but i collect other stuff other then horrow movie soundtracks especially third man records jack white of the white stripes's label and other stuff and i know that when a new version or a reissue is made the value of the original decreases for a while

but i really hope not because i have the original mondo maniac variant and i spent a lot for it and i want to see it go up in price but i dont know if people will start going for the new version more. ya know

The original Mondo Maniac soundtrack is for an entirely different film; it's an entirely different soundtrack composed by Jay Chattaway, while the new film was done by a musician named ROB. The value of that will remain unchanged due to its rarity. The dual releases between Mondo and DW for the Maniac remake might bring down the value of both or it could just lower the value on one, it all depends on the quality of the pressings, how well received the cover art is, and the general availability of both records. It seems the two records are exclusive to the countries/continents they're being released in, although, both companies will ship internationally. So the value shouldn't be affected drastically.

The real thing I have to wonder, though, is, are you more concerned with the value of the records or the quality? The two aren't necessarily the same thing. I think as collectors many people forget that scarcity exists to inflate a market, and it keeps out many who simply want to enjoy that record. Personally, I'm willing to take a hit to the price of my collection if that means others can share in my enjoyment of certain records. Just something to think about. I don't expect you to feel the same way.
