This is pretty glorious, and well worth the slight wait. The pressing is just dynamite, beautiful mastering job from the original tapes, and the packaging is lovely (tho I understand the comments I have seen wondering why they didn't go with colour sleeve, given the source images ;)

FEMALE VAMPIRE / TENDER AND PERVERSE EMMANUELLE
Daniel J. White
2019, The Omega Productions

I've been wanting to order this, I'm completely unfamiliar with it but your excitement over the announcement was enough to sell me. And now that you have received and seem pretty happy with it, I'll probably place an order in the near future for it.

I got home from Florida on Saturday. The 'love and light of my life' failed to mention I had a package. I found it buried on the dining room table this morning. :)
I guess I know what I'll be spinning this weekend.

is it fair to say that the recording volume is on the louder end of the scale?

Looking good, B!

Regards cutting volume- hopefully in a 'good' way? You're not getting any issues/distortion are you?

I'm no expert, but I think with lathe cuts a 'hotter' cut is better in terms of the noise floor... may be wrong!

Hope it's ok anyway ;-)

It sounds really good! No distortion. But I hadn't cranked up my stereo by much and a lot of Jessica came out :-) Definitely not in a bad way.

I was just spin cleaning (first try of the apin clean ever) the batch of handmades that Ive received today. I'll be spinning those, including Wolfen, when it's dry.

Humanoids is great stuff. Early Horner like Brainstorm and Gorky Park too

This sounds fantastic. Really happy to have a second volume.

And I finally had a chance to spin this beauty after giving a good clean. Excellent work all around on this one. I love the jacket art, they did such a nice job printing this. Now the question is the movie worth checking out? I've actually never seen it.

100% yes, it's a cult classic. Unlike any other horror of it's era. Mythic resonance, powerful subtext, Tom Noonan, great 'scope photography by a fave DP of mine (Gerry Fisher), post-late 70s NYC setting, great wolf creatures.... and a pudgy middle-aged Finney as the 'heroic action man'.

It's been a quiet evening around my house. My wife has been gone all day and won't be home til 11. I've been spinning Unsolved Mysteries most of the evening but it finally left the table for these two wonderful albums

The B-side of Jessica is full of gems. I wasn't sure what I was getting into with that one as I've only seen a handful of the films but I must say it's just as impressive as the Jessica score.

Apparently a bunch of Moore albums are incredibly cheap. I got this for $6 or $7 on discogs, ordered Mind's Eye for $7 today. The only one of his scores that wasn't cheap was The Guest which is surprising as it's Mondo/DW and I figured there would be a ton of them.

Super cool to see folks playing Jessica the last few days, and digging it. Hopefully it will also lead to a bit of catching up on some of those unseen movies too - they are all gems, I swear.

(I actually spent this afternoon in an honest to gosh mastering studio, finishing up preparing the next Blow Out lp due in January. I had to go a bit next-level with the restoration of this one tbh, as it's a BIG title, truly a lost late-60s killer by one of the Italian greats, and I really want this to be as close to a definitive release as possible.)
