Has anyone else NOT received shipping notification from Mondo yet on these last 2 releases? I ordered 2 of each, and my order is still listed as "processing" on their website. I only paid $7 shipping total on my order, but never received an email asking for any additional funds.....I really don't want to miss out on a variant. I'm a bit of a completist and have had really good luck in the past ordering 2 at a time - almost always getting one of each. Should email them knowing that their answer is gonna be to send another $7? Or should I just continue to wait and play stupid?

Cool, thanks Bub. I don't mind the wait really - just wanted to make sure there wasn't a problem with my order. I'm actually shocked they've gotten these out so quickly, I don't think I've ever seen an online Mondo release in people's hands a weeks after the on sale date.

True that. Usually only happens with leftover gallery stuff but I guess they got Devil in just in time. I just hope we're not being punished for ordering multiple.

I actually had a shipping notice yesterday & I'm in the UK.

Not sure how the shipping is done as I've seen people with both records already.

Typically, the more you buy, the longer you wait. There are exceptions of course.

[quote=11787]just added the translucent blue release of BLUE SUNSHINE to discogs if you guys wanna add it to your collection:

If the Blue Iris is limited to 200 copies, what's the Translucent Blue limited to?

I believe they said 200/1000 for BS and HCTD. The blue iris was an additional run of 200.

Edit: Now I can't find where I read that. So I can't back it up at the moment.

So do these Blue Sunshine LPs come with "acid sheet" inserts? I thought I had read/seen that somewhere.

@Bub my blue iris variant came with one! Notes are on the other side.

How is the Here Comes The Devil? I completely passed on the film, it just didn't interest me. So then I obviously just overlooked the score.

Reminds of when Plastikman did that in the early 90s.

StrangeVices, you can preview it here.

Here Comes The Devil on Amazon

I've read that the movie isn't that great but I do remember checking out the soundtrack when it was first announced & digging it.

I got my copy of Here Comes the Devil and Blue Sunshine today. Just popped on Here Comes the Devil and man, if this isn't one of the coolest modern horror scores, I don't know what is. It's like creepy Mexican psych rock and it's coming close to equaling the Ms. 45 soundtrack for me. And as I type this, it keeps getting better and better.

+1 with Garmonbozia...HCtD is excellent - Blue Sunshine I really liked too - HCtD as a movie wasn't all that bad...not great but not so bad

I wish I would have listened to Blue Sunshine first, because Here Comes the Devil is so great, Blue Sunshine kind of underwhelmed me afterward. I liked it fine, but I was excited to put on Here Comes the Devil again.

Yeah I agree with Garmonbozia, I was pretty underwhelmed with the Blue Sunshine score. There just wasn't anything at all that stood out to me.

The damn needle on my turntable broke so I've not had a chance yet to listen to HCtD. It is a great package though.

Another vote here for here Comes the Devil being the better of the 2 latest mondo releases. I haven't seen either of the movies but checked out snippets of HCtD when the release was announced and was very excited to get my hands on the full thing. Given the level of excitement on here for blue sunshine I figured I was safe with that but it didn't grab me at all. Maybe it's a grower so I will give it another try presently but right now I'm back on HCtD.

Both of mine are black which I prefer for listening purposes but I do have a bit of variant jealousy aimed at layne harvey right now...

and this after posted last week about not caring about the mondo variants so much anymore. of course, i am totally happy with the luck i had this time around, but honestly, getting the black copies wouldn't have killed me. :)

And I called you a magnificent bastard, even though I ended up getting both variants as well. Well, I still stand by what I said.

And I did like the Blue Sunshine score.
