Thanks for the heads up! I got the book and 7" on RSD, so I was glad to see the LP available separately.

I saw the movie like 15 years ago and never really cared for it.It's basically disco but my understanding is that this new release has some cues. It also omits some of the tracks from the original release which can be found on that bootleg from a couple years back. If the LP was more than $25 I don't think I would've gotten one.

I also dispute their claim that the original Prom Night soundtrack on RCA japan is a bootleg / unauthorized.
1) They released an LP and a 7" .
2) Who the fuck was making bootleg LPs of B-movie canadian horror movies in 1980? let a lone an LP and 7".
3) Perhaps Paul Z never received any royalties from it and therefore disputes its validity.

I've not picked up either of the recent issues of Jesse James or The Proposition as I'm avoiding the gold vinyl, in the hope it is pressed on black vinyl soon. I don't know if I'll have the same willpower for The Road - anyone have any feedback on the sound quality of the gold pressings?@chief - I strongly vouch for both, they sound superb and get heavy rotation round here. I say jump in to the gold flow, Joe!

The Beetlejuice and Halloween 4 and 5 both had some noise issues (more noise on one color than another). Beetlejuice was bad enough that I sold it (I have the swirl one now, which seems better, though I’m not sure I like it better than the OG - maybe worth doing a Comparison Corner on that one too?).

I've almost put my finger on it - I think that, quite a lot of the time, their artwork feels a lot like some kind of 90s Image comic movie tie-in art...? Not my jam really.Another issue I have with them is they tend to use the same artists over and over and then when you get some one new, it's just immitating a style that fits the "mondo aesthetic" I've lost interest in most of their posters over the last 5 years as well.

I'll need to rectify that if they're in the same bracket of consistent quality as the other two partnerships.I can't recommend ENEMY (both the Villeneuve film and their score) enough @chief, though it's probably not for everybody. Would dearly love to see that one hit wax, and them to hire me to package it ;)
