Rock Communication is a fantastic record @Dollar! these reissues are just incredible quality-wise (at least for my taste!)...
i wish there was a source in europe where to get these with lower shipping costs and no custom fees. these turn out to be really expensive when ordering in japan :(

They sound great. After you posted this I searched for it. Looks beautiful but not sure if it is my thing.

Agreed I would have a lot more of them if it weren't for the shipping costs.

This is the guy that curates the deep jazz reality releases (a subsublabel of the re:vinyl?series). So many great titles :0

He released this in Japan for RSD, sounds nice plus it has an otter on the cover :D

There's a "50 album challange" on youtube that asks you to find 50 records that you haven't listened to in 2 years or more. The idea being we get into a rut and tend to play the same records over and over. The challenge is to help you rediscover your album collection. I decided to give this a try and here is my first, released in 2014 it's probably been that long since I've given it a spin.

^ This is the kind of thought process that haunts me, and occasionally gives me a near-panicky feeling. Even just looking at my OSTs (near 2000 at this point) it freaks me out how few of them actually get spun.
I've had an idea for trying to tackle this feeling for a while, just haven't quite gotten around to it yet. Would involve a bit of time, effort and discipline. Maybe this year...

(It's based on an old music blog I used to follow, where a guy went through his record collection an album at a time, the twist being that he introduced his non-music-nerd wife to each album and she gave her reaction/thoughts. A great idea and very entertaining! I was considering co-opting the format with focus on just my film music LPs, alphabetically, and drafting my poor unsuspecting gf in. Or perhaps inviting a different friend round for each record. The bigger twist would be, doing it as a podcast - that's the length of the whole album playing either in foreground or background, depending if myself and 'guest' have stuff to say during the playback.)

Thanks ScoJo! It is kinda daunting. I don't know if I'll just do soundtracks or include the rest of my collection. Probably the whole collection. I'm sure I could pick way more than 50 if I wanted to.

I am going through this now... No need to hoard, and some of this stuff sells for a fair amount. My recent decision is that I will be picking out my "keepers" and really special pieces. Everything else will be listed for sale at a price I'm willing to sell it for. Maybe it won't be the cheapest copy (though very often it is) and if it sells it sells, and someone wanted it more. And that probably means the majority of my Waxwork, Mondo, death waltz etc will be hitting the street, one box at a time.
