just read that there’s some kind of unofficial list of stuff coming out this RSD, and among all of that was the first vinyl release of Twin Peaks: Season 2 and More.

I am *extremely* pleased about that, if true.

update:

I talked to someone who’s in a position to know, and the Twin Peaks S2 and More vinyl is indeed coming for RSD.

There will be a standard retail version in addition to the RSD version. Different colors, if I had to guess.

Varese Saranande finally has a page up for their Vertigo release, with different art than previously shown.

https://www.varesesarabande.com/products/vertigo-vinyl

Still showing a single disc track list (same as always), but that $34.99 price tag is making me question its veracity. The Goonies is only $27 and it’s two discs!

If it is an expanded score, you’d think they’d be screaming that from the rooftops.

@havershaw - they note a Stoughton tip-on jacket though, which could be considered fair to upcharge the package a few bucks. Add in the Herrmann estate licensing and it may be in the ballpark.

Good call, Inks. I referenced this when we we're talking about the Ongaku set. I'm almost nearly just about as stoked for this one.

Housewife OST by the mighty Antoni Maiovvi is out on Burning Witches Records on 2xLP. It’s bloody stunning and some of our finest packaging. Check it out here burningwitchesrecords.com

Darren is there any where we can listen to it? Also it seems to be selling like crazy on bandcamp, under 100 copies already? It's getting harder and harder to buy your releases outside of the first few hours they go on sale. Good thing for you, not so great for us :)

edit: I found it, looks like it's already available for streaming on Google Music, I assume the same for Spotify. Going to give it a listen now. The artwork other Darren came up with is quite good. I've been enjoying all the stuff he's been doing for your records lately

I hope to pick up the Housewife 2LP at some point in distribution. I think Can Evrenol has a lot of Visual Flair. I have yet to watch Housewife, but Baskin was great, and his segment of ''The Field Guide to Evil'' was well done.

@Nathan Housewife is good, it's not as good as Baskin IMO. It's one of those a dream with in a dream with in a dream...oh wait are we back in reality?...damn it I have no idea what's happening type of films. The acting seems "off" but I think that is because English is not the native language for any of the actors in the film so stuff seems stilted and strange (most likely by design). Well worth checking out. I think it's on Amazon Prime now for streaming although, being in Canada I have no clue what you guys have available to you.

Lakeshore have the digital rights so it’s on their Bandcamp and should be on Spotify etc. The film is nuts. Gave me a slight Cronenberg feel. Well worth checking out.

Thanks inksb ! Just checked, it's not on Prime in Canada, sadly. But I'll see it at some point, I'll find a way. I'll get the music in any case. Maiovvi's been doing mostly great stuff.

M83 - Knife + Heart

"the original soundtrack to Knife + Heart, a new queer slasher film directed by his brother (and sometime bandmate) Yann Gonzalez."

Beautiful stuff. I'll be all over this.

I'll have to pick it up this time :)

Funny story about A Field In England, shortly after it came out on bluray my wife and I were trying to figure out something to watch for the evening, I asked her if she wanted to smoke and watch a psychedelic film. She said yeah sure, thinking it would be pretty colorful and trippy picture. She did not let me live that down for years, she would always bring that up and would not allow me to put psychedelic movies on when she was around because my definition was different from hers. Then at some point last summer completely out of the blue she says to me, can we smoke and watch A Field In England again? Made me laugh and I said of course. I think we also watched Belladonna the same weekend if my memory serves correctly.

the Dynamite Cuts label (previously responsible for reissues of funk&sould classics - mostly on 2x7") have quite some Roy Budd stuff coming up...

peep their bandcamp page for more pre-order info: https://dynamitecuts.bandcamp.com/

all of these seem to be 2x7" sets. i find it a little uncomfortable to listen to 7" and prefer my LP's but maybe some of you might care for these...
