That movie really tugs on the old heart strings in the best possible ways. Also, yes you need to buy Seven Years on vinyl. I still need to grab Memoirs myself.

Maybe we could all bribe @monsterworship to upgrade the forum software. ;)

Nice JW tribute going on between you two.

Shock Waves.

Love this release. Baited breath for WW retail edish of The Prowler and the Don't Go In The House 2xlp!

(Speaking of Einhorn, highly recommend the Varese LP of his fantastic score for the underrated 80s southern-gothic mystery/horror 'Sister Sister'.)

It pays to trawl through Discogs looking at your favourite composers every now and then - I have a French LP from the 80s with a handful of cues from this film, but had no idea the full score had been reissued on wax a little while ago.

World-beating stuff as ever from de Roubaix, and one of the great French crime films.

Early morning rise. David is already out the door with the children and I'm into my domestic chores and getting started with my Goldsmith appreciation spinning. So much to choose from I didn't know where to start so I decided to start with his Oscar nominations. His first came in 1963 for his score to Freud. I've never seen the movie but from the opening track I picture Alien.

Oh it’s not just you, goldsmiths orginal compositions that we are used to from the final soundtrack release are largly absent from the film. The score was chopped up and moved around a lot in the editing process, and some of it was indeed replaced with the main title you are listening to on the freud release.

Great choice Tim! Have a good day.

Here's to one of the greatest of all time!

As I've not previously, I'm going to listen through all 4x discs of the Mondo box set (I was gifted the records and made my own box to house them...as you do ;-)
