Merry Christmas @million it's always a blessing seeing you drop those Library obscurities.
never heard of that Boneschi, puts me in mind of one of my favourite synth libraries, and this cut in particular.

Happy Holidays everyone. Feast away! Thanks @Million for your brilliant tales filled with library wisdom.
@Texas: I second Deaf's nosebleed comment. Not for the library because that rabbit hole I will not enter but for the beautiful original Italian scores I see there...

Hi again, anyone got the Timing Archives press from Farfalla Records? I got it yesterday and I gotta say it sucks, muddy as hell. there is no highs. Judging by Timing n1 mp3s it sounds nothing like this.

happy new year everyone!

@Tex: some good (all-italian?) titles in there. i was able to complete my RCS SP 8000 and 10000 collection this year so i am quite happy! also crossed some heavy stuff from the list...

@Steve: such a shame to hear that the pressing of the Timing comp does not sound right. i was about to pull the trigger on that one. was able to collect the original records that were used for this comp, but i think having these particular titles in order on one record was a cool thing. the sound on these Timing records is really sublime so i can't understand how they could f**k it up. does it come with any liner notes saying where the source comes from?

was lucky to find this in a bin for 1€. in 2019 finding a record like this in real life feels like finding a thousand dollar holy grail or something, LOL

anyway, it is really a big surprise and i did a little research and a discogs review on the record. have found some youtube clips that i have added to the discogs listing. great little record that is worth the money if you can grab it for cheap, especially for the Enzo Minuti side...

played Rhythm Of Life after a long time and it totally blew my mind! either i matured over the past months or the new pre-amp that i got myself for christmas is doing a damn good job, lol. anyway, this record is great and it inspired me to do a little review. definitely one that is craving for a re-ish...

Wow, very nice to finish both of those! Especially 8000 series, aren't there like 60 of those. All very scarce, I have maybe six. I really want the Gino Conte, I let the last copy slip away when I was caught in a work meeting.

Million I think Kapagama offered the masters for the reissue. They have the Bosworth catalogue as in Kosinus Archive with Montparnasse 2000 Sonimage Crea sound with the Nino Nardini tracks but can't find Timing anywhere. They have changed the names of the original albums atleast in the Kosinus archive section so hard to find stuff.

@Texxx: haha! i did not mean the complete 8000 and 10000. i got the missing ones that i consider the crown jewels and got rid of the ones that are redundant. i should have about 35 to 40 titles in total now. far too many overpriced and overrated stuff in the catalogue.

i snagged the Gino Conte by the way...

looks like it's me :)

really glad but also really surprised that i got it, especially because $450 was my max bid. could not believe it when i got up the next morning. been after it for quite a while.
something unbelievable happened and got me Giovanni Tommaso's Tokio Citta for free and the Gino Conte is still in the mail (since about 3-4 months!?). crazy story but sill no happy end in sight...

they have accidentally sent me the Tokio Citta and said i should keep it untill everything is sorted out. almost two months passed by and Della Luna got untraceable in the mail and the actual buyer of the Tokio Citta got upset and insisted on a refund. just three days before christmas Della Luna has returned to the actual sender and was sent again. these dudes are really kind and said i can keep the Tokio Citta as a compensation for the trouble. crazy how they can renounce $900 this record was auctioned for but it seems as they do not care at all. so technically i did not complete RCA SP 8000 as Della Luna is still not in my hands. i hope that it will show up in the mail within the next months, lol!

another one of last years acquisitions is this almost rare Mario Molino related record. was lucky to get my sticky fingers on a archive copy of it for pennies as the UK seller obviously did not know what it was. do not know much about the label or the release but i can confirm that this album is rockin' hard! can be heard at soundcloud since delirious music has uploaded some tunes...

@milquetoast -

Tokia Citta - holy heck. I love that LP. Well done, hope the other LP arrives soon to make this a huge smiley-smile transaction for you!

They sell so many records. It is wild. Thousands of ebay auctions at any one time. All properly listed, graded, described, photographed. I have no idea how they do it. Or where they are getting these collections. They are obviously being rewarded as whenever I check their stuff is always selling briskly.

Well million I am glad I didn't bid then. Saved us both some money.

interesting to see this being comped on the recent Unusual Sounds album accompanying the library book with the similar title. did not grab the compilation as i think i know most of the stuff. the selection seems to be pretty wild though.

anyway, this Quips And Cranks record is really good! kind of like freaky soft porn music. hard to describe but worth a listen. i can't tell much about the composers except Carlo Maria Cordio being responsible for the Absurd score that got a super nice reissue on Death Waltz a few years ago.

so finally, after a 4 month odyssey, Nell'Anno Della Luna has landed after taking a crazy sightseeing trip across europe and the states, passing the atlantic ocean at least three times. the tracking history from first sending had about 60 entries. worth the wait though.

these are my quick favourite picks from the SP 8000 series by far. and no, don't ask me for La Poliziotta and Laure as these are OK but far from being called favourites...

I watched Colpo Rovente last Sunday. Brilliant score. And Interrabang is definitely the bomb.
Outstanding collection!

great @Bez! nice to know you watched Colpo Rovente. that one must be really odd.

still need to watch Interrabang that you have provided lately. the score is my absolute favourite from the SP series. most probably my favourite italian score ever. that one hits the right spot for me...
