I still haven’t seen upgrade, but I feel like I’ll be pretty pleased by all of it.

I liked the ritual a lot, slow burn that I wasn’t sure about but the third act makes up for it big time, and awesome creature design. I did note the score almost immediately so I’ll more than likely add that to the collection

Agreed. Trey Spruance is pretty fantastic. I saw these guys open for Goblin a few years ago. An excellent pairing.

This should be in jazz but make sure you don't miss the reissue of Hiroshi Suzuki "Cat" -- it sounds great and is an impossibly good and rare jazz funk record. Buy doubles and put the extra on a shelf...

Yes the 2015 reissue was for rsd. There has been a second reissue identical to the 2015 (in fact the obi is dated 2015). It is very high quality reissue. I imported two copies from Japan since aside from dusty groove I don't know who would get stock in the US. And dusty groove has a weird policy where they won't order records for you.

Thanks for the info and agreed on DG. One of their only two shortcomings in my experience.

Here at O/P we are huge fans of NYC film re-score maestros Morricone Youth, and are thrilled to bring you their latest LP release. We're also are giving away a unique Test Pressing Edition of the album to celebrate, details below...

The latest in a series of limited vinyl editions on Country Club Records, the band's score for Mario Bava's cult 1968 Italian comic-book action film Danger:Diabolik features killer versions of Ennio Morricone's original songs, as well as some blistering cues of their own.

The original soundtrack is much sought after- the master tapes were infamously lost in a studio fire, and it has only ever been available as an unofficial CD which includes dialogue and effects. It's one of Il Maestro's very best from his 60s Mondo period, and a true Holy Grail.

From the dangerously laid-back title theme 'Deep Down' (with breathless vocal matching that of Italian ye-ye singer Christy) to bangers like 'Valmont's Go-Go Pad'  & 'Under Wah-Wah', Morricone Youth have delivered a version of this soundtrack which honours the fuzz-guitar-and-sitar-laden original, whilst adding a heady dose of their own soundtrack magic.

We are also carrying limited stock of the previous two Morricone Youth LPs at a very special low price, MAD MAX and SUNRISE: A Song of Two Humans.

To celebrate this awesome release, we have a unique Test Pressing Edition of Danger:Diabolik to give away at random to anyone who orders a Morricone Youth LP this week - competition ends at Midnight GMT on November 5th!
This version will feature bespoke packaging by O/P artist Scott Johannsson, similar to the edition he created previously for 'Night Of The Living Dead'.

Cheers!

Good to hear. I was hoping the second posting would be on black. Shame. Not sure if I have a strong opinion on clear wax - off the top of my head I can't think of any that I have, though I did just buy one today (non OST, Bill Ryder-Jones).

Fwiw, chief, here's some recieved wisdom on vinyl colour 'quality'- take it all with pinch of salt of course, there are as we know many factors involved in a good sounding record:

BLACK
CLEAR
SOLID COLOUR
TRANSPARENT COLOURS/COLOUR FX
PIC DISCS
GLOW IN DARK
JAMAICAN PRESSINGS (*jokes*)
