I didn't even know Willow LP was a thing. Cool. Listening to some Nicolai. A few good tracks and several that are unbearably awful. I think an interesting project might be for someone to do a 2LP compilation of Nicolai gems from the Edipan. There are some great cues, but the records generally aren't close to "all killer no filler" except maybe Tempo Sospeso.

Thanks! I love the OST and the Persona series is one of my favorites. I will say that the packaging is godawful quality for the 175+shipping they charged. Each record is housed in a minimalist art sleeve of the thinnest cheapest variety. The outer box is nice, but this should have been 125 at the most. I'm glad I had grabbed it before it sold out, but I definitely hesitated long and hard at that price point.

Boy does this Mandy score kick some serious arse.

And that sleeve. It's like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is none. None more black.

Blacker than Arrival.

Have not seen the film yet, but from what I‘ve read (also on this board) I think they could also have gone with something very colorful for the sleeve design (maybe a bit like the recent Suspiria reissue by DW). In any case I also need to get hold of this very black album.

From the liner notes, I get the feeling they were aiming for this to be as much a eulogy/commemoration for Jóhannsson as a soundtrack release – perhaps a reason for the more subdued artwork?

Very nice, pressing is supernaturally good, punchy electronic textures and superb dynamic range. This is another dynamite job by WW, I didn't realise that I needed this expanded edition and right now I'm all about it! I rec'd highly if your ears respond well to mid-70s electro blorping n skronking (though there's orchestral stuff here too, but it's hardly 'standard issue' - highly modernist composing by Goldsmith.)

Oh and remember kids- track 4 (On The Circuit) is the one that's wildly reminiscent of Chris Young's Hellraiser!

I've never heard of the film myself, but I've been picking up album scored by Johnny Jewel, it wags pretty good.
Johnny Jewel, you say?

Je suis 'IN'!

Thanks @Rev

Agreed.
Yes it's very nice and I forget about this title all the time and when I put it on the platter I remember it's very good !

Revenge is a blast, I think I even like it more than Rob's Maniac score.
