No need to wait for Waxwork, Pete. Originals can still be had for a reasonable price. So can brand new copies of the more recent MOV reissue which I think sounds fantastic.

@ Sam Hain
I find it difficult not to comment on your post. That's why I am typing stuff without saying a lot because I don't want to sound patronizing.
I welcome new members and new points of view on the use of a Show off latest purchases VS now spinning thread. And the use of the record playing apparatus of one's choice is just that: to each their own.

Anyways, glad to have you and nice to see you spinning the score to a terrific show!

2 days ago I got an email from PainBubbles saying that he sent me the soundtrack of La Cordillera. He forgot he had pre-ordered that one and because he sold all his vinyl and I am the only one he knows who is into scores he sent it to me. Plus two other records he found stashed somewhere.
No questions or nothing. Simply a mail with a tracking number and the above explanation.
A very generous and kind gesture.

I have no idea about any of these scores. Very curious.

Cool, good to know. I'll check it out this weekend.

Saturday I'll be picking up a box from Japan. A lot of washing and playing records lie ahead!
Pictures Saturday or Sunday!

@Texas... it's very mellow, gentle stuff, as you'd expect from something that ClayPipe put out. Has almost a naive quality about it. I'll need to give it a couple more spins.

The packaging of their releases is, as always, knockout. Having a label boss who is also an artist in her own right sees to that! :)

Devilman bgm, nice! One of if not the best in that series. :)

What's the Canyon lp?
Did not have time to fully go over these additions. Tomorrow I'll post some better pics. And more info. Some gems in there though :-)

As luck has it my evening plans changed. That means an evening by myself. Some beer. And movies.
And time to take these pics...

The Getz/Gilberto is no score of course and was bought as a gift for my girlfriend's son upcoming birthday. However I noticed last week his girlfriend already got him a copy of that record some months ago. That means I am keeping it :-)

deafmetal wrote:@Bez - Glad to see you won some of those auctions. The NoES looks to be in excellent condition, and that thing is rare as hell. Well done!
Yeah, very happy with that one. Also wanted Day of the Dead with obi that went up at the same time, but after getting this one and Halloween I passed on that one. I did expect more opposition on NoES though. Sleeve looks Mint. Not a single blemish. The vinyl I still need to inspect more but looks to be in perfect shape.

@Bez - You pulled a killer haul there along with those gems. It's also fun to see all those film brochures. I have not seen a few of those before.

Received this today in the middle of a windy Oregon rainstorm, quite fitting:

Varèse Sarabande once again showing other labels how it's done: four-page booklet with detailed sleeve notes, and additional notes from both the director and the composer on a solid gatefold sleeve. The pressing sounds like butter in my headphones on thankfully quiet solid gold vinyl.

Numbered on the back of the sleeve:

Really making for a magical afternoon with Grusin and this symphony orchestra.

@Mateo - Highly recommended. It's a special one.

I have been unable to resist these Fulci comics with the 5" vinyl themes and remix tracks:

Eibon Press is also running a Maniac comic along with some other original gore/horror, and will be releasing House By The Cemetery next year. If anybody wants to hear the remix tracks, send me a pm.
