I like the redesigned cover. It's a bit more interesting than the CD.

Upcoming reissue (finally!) on Feb 9th of Grusin's absurdly funky 3 DAYS OF THE CONDOR. Yay!

Only person I recall spinning the OG here is @static, which is mental! This is a world class 70s spy/thriller/jazz-funk score, by a somewhat under represented composer.

Only mild annoyance is that MOV are pressing, for no good reason that I can see, on gold wax. Hope it's a nice quiet one.

@deaf - sir, my mostest humblest apologies! What an oversight.

On the plus side, I just thoroughly enjoyed re-aquainting myself with your wicked good DC 27, which is gold standard. Still hurts me that my fave thread here has lost traction...I tried to re-boot it as a drop-in feature (no nominations) but that didnt seem to fly either. And I think peeps would get a bit bored if I just keep posting there myself...?

@ScoJo, I have several MOV pressings, black or color all are pretty damn quiet. The occasional tick or pop might be present but nothing annoying. I often wonder what pressing plant they use and why everyone's can't be as good. Of course other's mileage may vary but I can't think of a bad title I've gotten from them. And, unless it very limited they usually have a black pressing along with the color.

I couldn't agree more Tim. In fact, I buy their pressings with confidence at this point. Great soundtrack pressings, but I've also picked up some excellent alternative rock releases from them too. I like the fact that they don't go crazy with multiple colors if they drop a colored varient; it's usually just a solid color. The black wax that they put out is as good as anything on the market today.

One of the first soundtrack reissues I picked up when I started discovering the newer labels was their pressing of the wicker man, and then a little later their pressing of bride of Frankenstein. In the five or so years since this whole niche really started getting big and these boutique labels started doing their thing, those two pressings remain two of my favorite records in my whole collection, including originals.

MoV is cool plus they locked down Lost Highway which I probably asked every label on the forum multiple times for :-) and they did a killer job with that one too!

Lots of great stuff from them.. Alice in Chains, Mars Volta, Stone Temple Pilots, White Zombie, Blind Melon, Wicker Man and Bride of Frankenstein are really great. If I had any quibble it's that sometimes they don't have original art assets and the covers can be lacking. Also the plant they use tends to put out discs with thin edges that can be prone to splitting seams. But the pressings all sound good to me!

I don't know this score but will have to check it out.

My good fiends at Forever Midnight are releasing their second cult horror soundtrack on vinyl, following on from the awesome COVEN a few years ago...I knew little about TERRIFIER (the short or the new feature length clown-based schlocker) but the music is by Marilyn Manson's guitarist and it sounds pretty bad ass:

Horner's Commando is coming out April 8th on Real Gone, but like Predator and EFLA before it, it's a pretty precious price. And on some batty colorways as well.

Still, if memory serves, folks were mostly complimentary about the fidelity of those two releases.
