What was the OAR? It’s a weird little flick, could only have been made when it was made, lush 90s period piece, rife with interesting details and design, but still unafraid to be pulpy. Also Kilmers accent.....
Original aspect ratio.
Hahahahaha, I can see how that read now. I’m an aspect ratio purist, I see it was answered below though ha.

One of my favourite shows of recent times. Great score by Richter

I liked this Clint Mansell score far more than I liked the film, which I found a bit disappointing.

@ScoJo, hater of all things Wheatley, what did you make of it?

First listen to this. Was a fan of the score to the first film on DWRC.

Agree with you @hatter. Picked it up on CD for about £5. Bargain.

Some Nicolai action. This isn't the CD cover that I have, as I picked this up as part of a Beat 3CD collection.

The last really great album from Al & Paul. I'm in it until the bitter end even though Paul is long gone. New album sometime in March of this year.

Me too Mateo. Amazing body of work that these two put together on numerous projects for almost 20 years. It's too bad they probably will never work together again.

Vols 1, 2, and 3.....it was a splurgey kind of day hahaha.

I recently started rewatching the series (again). Finishing up season 1 as I type....love the fact that CSM is in the very first episode puffing away, no lines, doesn’t show up again until “young at heart” and then finally speaks at the end of “Tooms”

Nice. I have to confess to always enjoying the music of the X-Files. Maybe I should check one of those out.

I have the original album which has some nice bits on it, although they are marred by sound clips from the show which breaks them as mood pieces, but these 4 disc volumes from Lalaland are all curated per episode. There’s some great pieces of ambient stuff on them. This recent rewatch has made me really appreciate the music.

If one can play Ministry in this CD's Now Playing Soundtrack Forum thread I have to post that I am currently listening to this classic:

This wasn't the film I expected it to be, having ignored reviews, etc, but the film and score worthy of high praise.

Just got a package from Japan, and I'll be giving these some attention over the next few days.

* Ryuichi Sakamoto "Silk." This came out about a decade ago, but I'm finally getting around to it now.
* Gary Ashiya "Ulam's Spiral." This is the one that I've been most looking forward to out of the group. Ashiya did some of the scores to Kiyoshi Kurosawa's older horror films. I have one of these scores on CD ("Loft"), but as far as I can tell, and I've been searching for a while, the others haven't been released. This CD has some of those older cues, such as from "Cure." From sound clips that I hear, there are a few cutesy tracks on this release, but there is also some great, stark, minimalist pieces on here as well. I only just discovered that this CD existed a few weeks ago, and I snagged it as soon as I could.
* "Siren" video game soundtrack. Gary Ashiya is one of two main composers for the score (Hitomi Shimizu being the other), and it sounds like another solid dark ambient score.
* Keiichi Sugimoto "Watashitachi no Ie" ("Our House"). Sugimoto has a bunch of electronic/ambient release out there. For instance, he has released music on the 12k label under Fourcolor. Anyway, this was relatively cheap on CD Japan ($14), so I took a look. The movie is directed by Yui Kiyohara, who studied under Kiyoshi Kurosawa, and it supposedly has some of the dread and atmospherics that are reflected in his films. The sound clips that I had again had a mix of some light-hearted pieces and some unsettling ones.

Three of the four are new to me and quite intriguing. Look forward to your thoughts.

Well, sorta on CD - I digitized all my OSTs before I sold them all :) Terrific early 90s film and soundtrack. Has the classic 'Mystery Man' by Terje Rypdal, three years before Michael Mann deployed it (also to great effect) in Heat.
