As a far cleverer chap than I once said, "Don't fuck with John Carpenter."http://deadline.com/2016/07/luc-besson- ... 201795191/

PS - I quite enjoyed LOCKOUT.

Have not seen Lockout, but from the description behind your link it seems the premise is the same. Is the whole movie a copy as well?

I forgot to ask you this. What is the story about Carpenter and the DWRC releases? I couldn't imagine any licensing issues.

@Bez - Nothing that I know about, and I didn't want to spend my brief amount of time with JC on that topic. There were much more important matters to discuss... like just how special Big Trouble in Little China really is. :)

Meh. Sort of in parts. It's definitely a concept issue n my mind. I believe the article says JC and StudioCanal asked for 2.5MM and they got 500K so, without actually researching it, my guess would be the court(s) didn't see it as a total ripoff either.
