Color me extreemly skeptical, but it's also hard not to be little intrigued when the man himself wants to be deeply involved and says

“Thirty-eight years after the original Halloween I’m going to help to try to make the 10th sequel the scariest of them all,”

There are even parts of the RZ films that I like...(ducks)

I'm generally not a fan of mucking about in these endless remakes, reboots, reimaginings, retreads, etc. and I'm not terribly optimistic about this one either. That said, I am in love with the idea of JC doing something, anything, again with film.

Haha I just really like Brad Dourif...and his reaction to Annie's death in the directors cut of H2 is actually a nice piece of film making, and I applaud the effort. That's really it though, I promise. :)

He is signed on as a producer.
years ago he was also signed on as a producer on The Fog remake too (yikes).

Its not that exciting to me either way, I'm not a fan of the franchise and I honestly haven't seen every one in their entirety.

I would be interested in the soundtrack though.

Would be much more excited if he was back in the director's chair

As far as I understand it, executive producer is quite a hands off/back room role (?)

If he does agree to score though, particularly with his current son & godson set up, there is potentially something exciting that could happen there.

yeah usually exec producer wouldn't mean much to me, but his comments about involvement made me curious.

@Monster, good point on the fog though...eeesh
