I started the evening with this one. Only seen it once before. And I was planning on watching the rest of the trilogy. But for some reason I just didn’t feel it. It was not as exciting as I hoped.

Always hated the shakey cam action of the Bourne movies, drove me nuts. It feels like they don't know how to shoot the action scenes and used it to cover up the bad choreography. Haven't seen it since they came out.

Just your average Italian American ex-CIA patriotic Aikido specialist unorthodox Chicago cop.

EDIT: Turns out this was a good choice - impromptu Henry Silva tribute.

I wasn’t quite prepared for this. Jesus christ that was an uncomfortable watch!

Just finished this one. Really liked it. The Dutch... you are right. "I don't believe in working."

Hahaha...... there are only two things I can't stand in this world: people who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch!

Decision to Leave dir by Park Chan-Wook
This one floored me. It's so beautifully crafted, shot and acted. I knew next to nothing going in but it's basically an odd love story. Park has continued to hone his craft over the years and continues to impress me with each new film. If you enjoyed The Handmaiden this will be right up your alley but it's not as dark and twisted as that one. Really I can't recommend this one enough, please seek it out and watch it.
I haven't posted much in here lately but I assure you I'm still watching a healthy dose of films. Some other recent viewings that I don't feel like writing up.
Hatchet
Hatchet 2
Saloum
Speak No Evil
Ressurection (this was really good)
Satan's Slaves (2018)
X (rewatch and I think I liked it even more the second time)

I LOVE "The Handmaiden", I think it's his best. I was made aware of "Decision to Leave" just a few days ago and am really looking forward to seeing it.

Anyone watching Dahmer on Netflix? I had high expectations due to the hype and so far (watched 2 eps) my expectations are met.

No but it's on the list for this weekend. I'm a fan of the guy they cast as Dahmer

Haha, sorry to have prompted watch of this one Bez. It is properly shite. But notable for being very early Canon Films flick that was attempting a slasher cash in. FROM THE DIRECTOR OF LEMON POPSICLE!!

I loved it! It was extremely weird and nonsensical! The score sounded like they took a lot of stuff from other scores from better movies (even of bit of The Omen type of chanting?). Also the close-ups :-)

Agree! Hospital Massacre/X-Ray is a lot of fun, they just got it right here - perfect so bad it‘s good movie imo.

Bodies Bodies Bodies was ok, didn’t hate it. But did anyone clock that it’s Disasterpeace’s return to Carpenteresque synth scoring? Good stuff.

I started Dahmer, 2 episodes in and it's quite good. I was talking to a friend of mine who is a bit of a serial killer buff and he loved the series, has already watched it twice.
