This was really good. If you like the VHS series and/or found footage stuff then watch this one. They dialed back the goofiness that the last two entries had and really just went for a serious tone through out. Direction was very solid (Scott Derickson did one of the segments) and the acting was good through out. I don't think there was a bad segment which is rare for an anthology film. Definitely recommended
Rumpelstiltskin
90's dreck. This was boring and awful. The only redeeming aspect of the film is Charles Bernstein's score. I remember seeing the VHS cover but never renting it, I'm glad I never wasted my money on it.
Creepozoids
This was surprsingly fun for what it was. It's insanely low budget Full Moon sci fi horror feature. There's a lot of running down the same or similar hallways and a few rooms but they made the best of what they had and probably spent half the budget on practical effects. It's not anything special but it's punching well above it's weight class.
Carlito's Way
I think I just don't like Al Pacino. This movie just didn't do much for me. I know lots of folks around here love it and it's well made. I can see the appeal but nothing really clicks for me. Also Luis Guzman's character in here looks like the inspiration of Murderface on Metalocalypse, it cracks me up.
Continuing the Barbara retrospective
Space Truckers
Been a few years since I've seen this, it's goofy as hell but quite fun. Stuart had such great sense of humor in his work. Barbara's NYC accent is "special" and I love it.

She pretty much was non existent in acting until this film which is considered her revival. I really enjoy this film from Wingard. It's mean, has some nasty kills, nasty characters and overall well directed action. Barbara plays a great distressed rich mother.
Sun Choke
We skipped We Are Still Here because we watched it earlier in the year so we moved onto this one which was a first time watch for us. It's kind of horror, defintely some horrific shit in here but it's more focused on it's character and her fragile psychological state. Barbara plays a nasty stepmother / psychologist who's manipulating it's main character. The film is slow but paced well enough to keep your attention. There's moments of brutality and some pretty good performances all around. I enjoyed it quite a bit, not something I'd rewatch often but it's worth a watch if you have never seen it.
