In my quest to see every giallo film (I am only at a dozen at the moment, so long way to go :-) ) I watched La Coda dello Scorpione. Also known as The Case of the Scorpion’s Tail.
Really loved this film.

The movie has everything: the glove, the knife, the women, the scenery, the plants, London, Athens, the detective, swimming, clues, blood, … If you are new to giallo this is a good one to start with I think.
In the end I prefer The House with the Laughing Windows. I love the more strange slow burners.

The intro is great with brilliant music. I’m listening to the Bruno Nicolai score at the moment, but don’t hear that intro music… Does anyone know where that intro is located on the soundtrack released by Digitmovies? And is there a reason of not starting the score with the music playing in the intro? I never paid attention to this, maybe it is a normal thing to do?

@Bezulsqy

Do you mean the Titanus ident-like flourish at the very start of the video? Guess that was left off because it's not actually part of the score itself, unless I'm missing the point...

On another note, as coincidence would have it was just saying to @deafmetal last night that somebody needs to put this and Nicolai's score to Eyeball on wax - it's an absolute killer (forgive the giallo pun)!

@ Spun

I am an idiot. I was listening to it with my iPhone earbuds. I only had the left one in (because I am at work ;-) ) Apparently I needed the right one as well to hear the song.
Haha. I feel like a real idiot. I was wondering why it all sounded familiar but not as good as in the movie.

Maybe we can re-purpose your thread as a petition to get someone to put this fantastic score on vinyl?

+1 from me... :)

Absolutely. Brilliant score!

I remember reading somewhere on this board that Spencer got the rights to an unknown amount of giallo titles... don't know how true that is. But he has posted some nice giallo info on other threads, so I know he is quite the giallo connaisseur.

Let's hope!

@spencer

Ah, Ok - cheers for the info, thought it might be highly likely this was a future DW release myself but sure FK will be able custodians of the title... will keep eyes open and ears peeled

I'm pretty sure FK as well. A very long awaited release.
