The guys at Casual Connoisseur were actually doing a half-decent version of that design years ago. Compared to the Mondo stuff (more overkill than Overlook), their hats are pretty simple, and something you could wear in public without looking like so much tricycle track:
Their Black Lodge version is long sold out..

I have the shining hat, and it's ace. Was rather odd to be taking part in a 9am bunfight for limited edition knitwear, but there you go. Tbh, would have much preferred the Twin Peaks one as that looks fantastic.
