Suspended for one day. Granted, I grew up watching horror movies and science fiction and basically anything I wanted to watch. My mom always said it was my choice what I watched, but that if I got scared, don't go running to her. But, that being said, I hardly think Saw should be any kids first movie. I was watching horror way before 11 years old, but at 11, realistic gore still freaked me the fuck out.

That's funny because they are super liberal when it comes to horror.

Haha wow! I had pretty much free reign of the VCR growing up but still seeing that at 11 would have kept me up at night.

I remember watching RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD at school. Although it was my choice not the teacher. Once he saw Linnea Quigley he thought we better switch it off but he he had a hell of time getting near the VCR.

Being a teacher myself (albeit in upper secondary school) I cannot help but wonder what the hell the teacher was thinking. Saw might be a decent horror/thriller but showing it to 11-year olds is just poor judgement.

That is outrageous that he would show Saw to a bunch of school children!

Everyone knows that Saw II is a better film and would provide these young students with fine essay topics, such as 'The Things I Learned From Dismemberment', or 'Torture Devices Made Simple - Eight Easy Devices You Can Make at Home!'.
