And there's a DVD of 7 Doors of Death which I've never watchedLooking forward to getting this. So how did you like the transfer?

I don't have a Dolby Vision UHD player yet so I'll only be checking out the HDR10 but that will probably be fairly minimal differences between. I'll update with my thoughts once I have time to sit down and check it outinksb wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 6:39 pm Just got this in and I can't wait to check out the transfer. Terror Vision released a new 4k 2.35:1 scan on bluray and I finally got my hands on it. (I even considered stealing the name ‘Obscure Sighs’ at one point, the moniker that director Brian Tuscano used for the score.)I picked up the bluray of this last year and it finally shipped from TV with one of my orders a few months back, I have been waiting for a good time to watch it. i think I finally convinced my wife that she would want to watch it as well
All my instincts were completely spot on, this is so ridiculously my shit. Uniquely shot and edited 80s surrealistic horror, outsider art, nightmare logic, fantastic score that’s in almost every moment, utterly nonsensical (or… is it?)
Timed my first watch as a bleary, early-hours of the morning experience and it was thrilling. The highly stylized lighting and awful non-sync rerecorded dialogue evoking lurid 70s Italian horror, with acting that can be charitably described as ‘heavy porno vibes’, to sequences that genuinely baffle and beguile, I couldn’t have dug it more.
If you need any other encouragement/warning, think Messiah of Evil, Death Bed, Jodorowsky, Sole Survivor…
I’d also bet decent money on it being one of Panos Cosmatos’ 80s VHS horror touchstones!
I know things have been less healthy for TV on the soundtrack side, but they’ve teased a release of this and I NEED IT BAD.
