SILENT RAGE is a long-time fave & has a really good soundtrack.

I'd love to see a better release for BELL FROM HELL. I think the U.S. dvd is missing some footage?

I've got a pile of stuff to watch: CATHY'S CURSE, BLOOD BEACH, THE DORM THAT DRIPPED BLOOD, THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN, NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW, DEATH WEEKEND, PRISON, SILENT NIGHT, BLOODY NIGHT. Not sure which films I'll choose for Halloween night...

If you've not seen "The Changeling" with George C. Scott from 1980, check it out.
I've seen it 100 times and it still creeps me the hell out more than any other film has been able to do...serious hair raising, gooseflesh inducing good times.
Do yourself a favor though and don't read any of the synopses or even the back of the dvd, as they kind of spoil it.

I love many of the Amicus horror films...The House that dripped blood, Dr Terrors house of horrors, Asylum, Tales from the crypt, The Vault of Horror. Do not know if it would really be considered horror by today standards...maybe more of an afternoon build up and save the more extreme films for the evening. Always love the atmosphere of these films with lush scenery and lofty set designs...brits make horror so appealing and comfy!

Agreed, I am a HAMMER fanatic myself, and Amicus satisfies a lot of the same notes, with a lot of the same talent. SCREAM FACTORY is releasing Tales from the crypt/vault of horror on blu ray in December and i can't wait to get a peak at the transfers. great films all around!

let us not forget one of the earliest, the 1922 silent film Nosferatu, with Max Schreck as Count Orlok. A wonderful film.
