Good stuff @dollar. I'm in a similar position, I'm up at 5am or thereabouts on Mondays, so we'll maybe think about switching to 9pm for any further Syncs if it's agreeable, which it seemed to be this time, but I just left it at 10pm as it was entirely self-interest that made me suggest 9pm. Now I have 2 reasons, but I'll stick to 10pm for this one.

Haven't seen 'The Man...' in years, but I'm game.

Luckily have the Arrow video release of Pieces (though that Grindhouse restoration looks mighty tempting).... so that would be cool for the next one perhaps

Know there has also been love for Spookies on the board of late too, on the back of the Terror Vision release. Perhaps a few beers required with that one??

Suds are mandatory, Spun, irrespective of our choice of film. In for TMWFTE and I second (or third?) the motion for Pieces as our next subject since I've never seen that picture. Game on!

I'll say again - if we do choose TMWFTE as a fitting Bowie tribute, I'm into opening up my painstakingly put together handmade soundtrack edition once again for anyone who really fancies it and missed out all those moons ago :D

@scojo

That would be most awesome, please pm me if your feeling the tribute/shareing.

@chief, I feel your pain I was doing 5am, now 4:40 :(

Pieces is also another good choice. The live re-score by Umberto at MondoCon last year went down really well, and that was my introduction to the film!

@deaf that must have been a really fun screening. I had seen Pieces many times in my youth but there was a grindhouse screening a couple of years ago down in Hollywood that was definitely one of my happiest movie going experiences. The audience was mixed with many who had never seen the film. The noise level from the laughing was hilarious!

That screening was bitchin. I can't even imagine what deaf must've thought was going on without the dialogue.

It was my first time too, and honestly i found it very easy to follow. got a little lost with the kung fu instructor, but otherwise it was nice an telegraphic.

I was already pretty familiar with Umberto's rescore so it was awesome to see him do it live.

Two more handmade OSTs up for grabs :)

(Will mockup and post a pic of one tomorrow. It's a real labour of love, I spent a looong ass time sourcing all songs, excerpts and original score from the movie, inc even a very short piece by Bowie himself from his own proposed score!)
