While I love the action/demon shit in Urotsukidoji, the hentai aspect is a bit much. I'll still check them out, just curious what I'm actually getting myself into.
Fist of the north star, but I assume you have seen the movie already but, The original TV series is great also.
If you like trashy anime like urotsukidoji then theres
Iczer One a three part ova
Black magic m-66
Digital devil story
Roots Search (great ost)

Gundam is a bit much. There is some fantastic stuff and some mediocre stuff. The last thing I watched was Iron-Blooded Orphans and it was quite good. I still need to finish it though. I stopped watching about half way through because I cancelled my Hulu subscription.
@deaf would be cool to know what other OVAs you watched back in the day, also did you get my pm?
In the UK we got pretty much nothing until AKIRA came around :(
The good thing now is it's so easy to find stuff that was, I guess, next to impossible to get hold of back in the day, and nothing is edited to buggery like robotech and starblazers in the early 80's.

@Inksb send me a pm if there is anything in particular you are looking, I may be able to help.

Dollarhyde wrote:@deaf would be cool to know what other OVAs you watched back in the dayI first experienced the English-dubbed/edited Robotech around 1985 or so, and it launched my overall appreciation for anime and mechas at the same time. I was also heavily into Transformers, and it was not lost on me that the "new" Jetfire character was a direct rip-off of the VF-1 Valkyrie/Veritech mecha from Macross/Robotech. I still remember a banner day when I found a transforming model toy version Roy Föcker's Valkyrie with the skull & crossbones logo at a local store. I was so impressed that Robotech was popular enough to have toys made based on the mechas, and that they would be stocked on the shelves in a small town in the middle of nowhere. I wish I still had it, heh. Anyway, it was a big influence on me at the time.
