I thought we had a thread for new tape releases, but couldn't find it. So I started a new one.
Giallo Disco Cassette Reissues
It was a long time coming but we decided to a limited run (100 copies each) of GDLP001 & 002 on Cassette. You can order them both here:

All of the ridiculously priced Lakeshore tapes have now been "released" on the individual artists' bc pages at $10 a pop. So if there were any you were holding off on, now's your chance.

OGRE is releasing Murals and The Field Recordist's Guide To: Summoning Lesser Demons (love that title) on tape April 23 via his bandcamp.

And you guys made me do it. I finally bought OGRE's Night of the Living Dead re-score, there were 2 remaining and I can't not own a physical copy. I've listened to it on bandcamp too many times not to buy. Thanks for the heads up on low numbers.

Figured I would post this here, a local tape label who focuses in ambient, drone type music. I used to have pretty regular contact with guy who runs the label years ago on a forum. It was quite funny that we realized we lived near each other. He usually has a few tapes at a local record store so I tend to grab one when ever I see it there. Most of the Lung Cycles stuff is good (that's his band) and a few other artists on it as well. The National Park Service and Naps I think are pretty good too.

Check them out and hope you guys like it

And they are live. 50 of each.

I really want both of them but with picking up Communion LP this weekend (a whopping $35) and picking up Repeated Viewing Street Force 1 which cost me with paypal fees $25, I think I'm tapped out. For those that are interested, hop on twitter and check with Repeated Viewing, he was cleaning out old stock and had tapes of Street Force 1 (both variants), Art Immitates Life, Three Sisters and Street Force 2 for sale. They are £10 plus postage (to the US it's £4 + Paypal fees of $4). Might be able to fill some gaps in your collection.

Yeah, that's a good looking tape. Much like their two season one releases. I'll wait for a sale at Urban Outfitters or some suchness and pick it up then.

I had the double in my cart but opted not to spend $37 on it. Then about an hour later said fuck it and went back to buy it but it was gone. Oh well. Looks sick.
I think he said some will be up on Transmission some time this week so you may be able to score the double cassette.

For any one into weird space folk rock ala MV&EE, Matt 'MV' Valentine has a new group called Wet Tuna, they just released their first album on Baked Tapes, on top of the actual album itself they included a bonus tape of 80 minutes worth of extra material. I just ordered it and I'll post my thoughts once I get it.

I also just discovered FM-84's Atlas through Vehlinggo podcast. Not sure how I missed out on that album but it's a blast and since there are no physical editions to be found and I couldnt' sleep last night, I designed my own tape j-card and will be dubbing my own copy so I have a version to listen to on my system. As of right now I have no way to play digital music on my system other than running a 20 ft audio cable across my living room which I don't like doing.
