Now playing on my portable cassette thingy. A Sony YPPY from 1995. And one of the best tapes I have! Love this soundtrack.

Convention pickups

Nice players guys. The yellow sports model was probably Sony's most popular Walkman.

This one here was the last model Sony ever produced. I think it was in production until 2010. I was surprised they were made that long.

It's pretty neat to see all these late-model Walkmans. So many hours sunk into that thing...

Yes I was playing the same tape as seen in my previous pictures. It is just that damn good! While I am typing this something else is playing. I just wanted to show my new gear :-)
It is my last piece of gear I am going to buy in the next 12 months. Money needs to go somewhere else. But it is something incredible. One of the best tapedecks ever made. Really.
In 1982 it retailed for 675 pounds in the UK and $1800 in the US. Ridiculously expensive.

The second tape is from Xiu Xiu. It has a little booklet that contains pictures from the plants in their studio. And I love (and have a lot of) plants plus I like Xiu Xiu.

@Mateo - I really miss that Walkman. I have no idea what happened to it. I think it left me when I bought my first CD burner in '99...
