Mantle Sound Core - Green Stasis CS

I don't know anything about this band, and nearly all of its online info is gone (except for a Bandcamp page where you can buy a t-shirt and get a stream of this album, but there are no sound samples). I bought it from Aquarius Records, and they're long gone. So far it's echoing, experimental/electronic music with a little bit of pop sensibility to it.

This one is pretty good. It's a shame that he jacked up all his shipping prices. I get it, stuff is expensive but I buy plenty of stuff from UK still (@spun) and it's less expensive. His tapes feel like he makes them himself to save on cost, single sided printed j-cards (bugs me for some reason) on thin stock, sticker labels. The cost of this tape was a few dollars less than ordering the two latest Spun cassettes.

Evan Caminiti - Autoscopy OST

Caminiti is half of Barn Owl; the other half is Jon Porras. Together and apart, they do drone-based music, often around the guitar. This release is a soundtrack to a short film and is more synth-based dark ambient/drone.

Salvatore Mercatante - Pistacchio Sessions
Released by Soundtracking the Void (Thomas Ragsdale label)

StV keeps things minimal with their releases (and cheap price wise) no labels on the tape, medium stock printed wrap around case, no actual case. This is a really fun release, I'm friends with Salvatore and was lucky to hear this last year before he found a place to release it. It's got some spacey etheral synth stuff going on with more danceable drums. I really enjoy this one. Tape is sold out but you can still check out the album on bandcamp.

That's a mighty fine tape you got there @static I bet it sounds awesome ;)

Two new tapes that arrived in the last week or so.

Salvatore Mercatante - Tre Sfere
Released by Woodford Halse
Beautiful package, the album itself is great. Synth focused album with some IDM inspired beats that at times get glitched out. Enjoying it a lot.

Skeme Richards - No Requests Vol 2
Released by Nostalgia King
A wonderful funk mix tape. Skeme is so damn good at this, I love that he releases mixes. I need to pick up his Blaxploitation mixtape.

Because Spun has a new tape out that has already almost sold out I am playing SOS tapes today.

Number 8 because I thought today is the eight. It is not.
