I am also trying to figure out how to embed a youtube video. It seems I can only link to one.
Is it true that the BBCode to embed a youtube video first needs to be written by an administrator for us to able to use [youtube] [/youtube] code to embed a video?
Can we only use the BBcode as described in the BBcode guide?

The ability to embed Youtube and Soundcloud with relative ease would really help electrify this forum again. Can we post animated gifs? I've tried a couple of times, but but hasn't worked. That could certainly be operator error and, if so, I'd welcome a helping hand.
