Anyone into the Haxan Cloak et al? Looking for recommendations of similar stuff.

I looked on Wiki and it says its Drone Ambient but that didn't feel right! I've been listening to Demdike Stare and Ben Frost as well and its all very freaky shit, but in a good way.

I can get generic 'similar artists' from deezer/lastfm etc but if anyone has any actual "i listen to this and its great" recommendations then that would be highly appreciated.

Hey phil, have you heard the WIFE record Mr cloak and roly porter produced on triangle records? Also worth checking out is Mondkopf - Hades lp.
Pharmakon on sacred bones recs. You should also check out GOWNS... They're a little more ambient/noise. But good shit. Check albums Red State and they also did a record called Broken Bones for Latitudes as in HC ...men Parted the Sea lp.

There's quite a bit of good stuff on TriAngle Records...some awful stuff too though. I would say Haxan is about the only one from TriAngle that is a drone artist though. Most of that label is witch house and fake hip hop nonsense stuff.

Holy Other, though, is my personal favorite from TriAngle. definitely doesn't sound like Haxan tho.

Anyone else have that Haxan release on Lattitudes? It's my personal favorite record of his...

That track from Mondkopf sounds really cool, I'll have to dig into that since I've never heard of them before.

Mondkopf - Honest Jons £12. Ordered!!

Do you guys like Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement too? The last couple of albums they(he/she?) released are phenomenal noise, drone, dark ambient stuff. Always find it hard to categories but listening to it through headphones is an experience!!

I love rainforest spiritual enslavement, that is a dominick fernow project as is Vatican Shadow. He also is prurient which I guess is his main thing and Christian cosmos and is in some black metal bands. Has a number of other noise projects too. A stunning artist whose records I have been collecting for a while, he has so many though. I have about 50 but I enjoy buying other records too so have stalled in my attempt to get them all!

Thought I'd resurrect this thread for a moment... Listening to The Body - I Shall Die Here. It's pretty fucking brutal and produced by The Haxan Cloak. Highly recommended.

Phil if you are liking Mondkopf then get the extreme precautions record IMMEDIATELY . He went in the studio to record a new techno heavy mondkopf record but was listening to a lot of Naplam Death and ended up with EP. It is fucking awesome .

I second that Ricardo Donoso album, A Song For Echo. It is beautiful...I heard it playing at End Of An Ear in Austin, and had it added to my stack of records to buy before the second track finished. It sounds incredible.
