This post doesn't have to do with vinyl, and one of the requests isn't a soundtrack release, but I feel like it's still appropriate so hopefully I won't get crucified for it:)
I'm looking for two releases for Cassette Store Day tomorrow. The closest store that is participating is 5 hours away, so I won't be going out. The releases I'm looking for are:
The Last House On The Left released by One Way Static
What You Don't See by The Story So Far
I know TLHOTL is going to be some places in the US so if I could get someone in the states to save on shipping that would be great. TSSF release is apparently a Banquet Records exclusive so if someone in the UK is heading there tomorrow and would pick me up a copy I would be forever grateful.
Thanks
P.S. I know both of these say that leftovers will be put up online afterwards, but I'm concerned I won't get one so I figured I'd try my luck here.

Also, I would obviously cover all expenses. I just want that to be clear. So just message me if you think you can help me out.

Hi
Unfortunately Banquet had NO copies of LHOTL whatsoever - was the main one I was after and I was the 2nd person through the door so they won't have sold out. As much as I love banquet and have a cool death waltz section in there I don't think they specialise on soundtracks too much. Then again it is a small albeit growing market in most record shops

I thought that might be the case. It was my local record store for years until I moved away. I still go there when I come "home", they've always specialised more on punk/hardcore and dance/drum n bass etc. still a great store to peruse, great staff and they put on some great shows. Woah! Ramble on! Apologies and thanks for getting back to me!

I think there should be copies of LHOTL popping up here in the next day or two:

If I see them, I'll let you know. The only other US stores that I thought might have them don't seem to have any.

We will list the 'Last House on the left-overs' from the cassette version tomorrow Monday 8 PM Euro-Belgian time on
www.onewaystatic.com
There are 77 copies left and after that it's gone.
Don't bother trying Light In The Attic in the US. They completely sold out the tape to stores. They received over 500 orders and had only 200 copies.
So we are selling the left overs tomorrow worldwide at 7 euro/copy. Please be advised that to some countries shipping is high. Sometimes even higher than the cassette price itself. We can't help it, we wish it was cheaper to ship em to certain countries.
* It's not possible to bundle your tape order with your vinyl/cd order for logistical reasons.
* Please allow up to 2 weeks for the cassette to ship. I don't think it will take that long but it's possible.
If the above does not work for you... try and find a store that still has them. I have no clue who and where still has copies and at what price. Some stores are regretting not stocking them or wish they had ordered more copies. Rough Trade sold out of them in less than an hour.
We are really happy with the response and will press a higher quantity of our future releases. This was an experiment and we had no clue that this was going to explode. Sadly it's already listed on ebay for 30$. Something we do not support!
You can always use the buddy system here and hook up with a UK buddy (who have cheaper postage) to secure you a copy and then get it to you in a future bundle or something.
Good luck!
Seb

I think some stores kept some tapes for online sales. Try Norman, Moviegrooves and Strange Vices, Rough Trade online, Resident,...
You might need to compare some prices, overal for UK folk I think the tape + shipping will be cheapest directly from our website. (I can be wrong!!)
For USA customers this might not be the case at all.

If anyone knows of other stores that still have the tape left... post em here!

If anyone in the US wasn’t able to find one of the Last House on the Left tapes yet it looks like there are some (quantity unknown) available at Dusty Groove for $6.99 USD before shipping.

Ah cool, shipping to Denmark was less than EUR 6 no matter how many copies ordered, so I got a few I can trade
