Hi guys, i'm searching for someone who can order some vinyl for me from lightintheattic.com, and forward the package to me (austria, europe) by sending it as a gift (and removing the original invoice).

i found out that some records are very cheap @ LITA, especially with the current low value of US$. the only reason why i'm not placing an order is because i'm afraid my order might get caught by customs and i have to pay extra fees.

can somebody help me out?

In the UK here, but if you're ordering from LITA customs shouldn't be a problem - the Mark Lanegan sets of theirs (3 x LPs in a BIG box) were declared as $2 each on the CN22 :)

thanks SI,

did you tell them before, or do they lower the price on the invoice for international orders automatically?

They just did it - from what I remember, they didn't include an invoice in the package anyway so even if it was opened up there'd be no way of checking.
They're a great bunch to deal with anyway, if you drop them a line they'll clarify for you.

thanks guys!

i just wrote them an e-mail, will wait and see what they answer, then, if they are able to avoid customs, place an order directly.
