I have yet to see anybody make the trip to Portland, but Wyrd War's dungeon synth mini-festival returns for a second year with some big names. Individual event tickets are going on sale now, and I expect the EFNY/Howarth tickets to go quick:

THURSDAY AUGUST 1: John Carpenter’s ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK (1981) at Hollywood Theatre followed by a live concert by legendary cinematic composer Alan Howarth! Doors open at 5:00pm for the Wyrd War Dungeon Market. Film starts at 8:00pm. Alan Howarth LIVE at approximately 9:30pm. All ages welcome (parental guidance suggested).
FRIDAY AUGUST 2: Ursula Le Guin inspired fantasy synth artist FOGWEAVER's first ever live performance in Oregon at Enchanted Forest with special guests WRAITH KNIGHT and FEN WALKER in the park’s open-air amphitheater! Doors opens at 10:30am for a full day of rides and adventure! WRAITH KNIGHT will perform at approximately 6:15pm. FOGWEAVER will perform at approximately 7:15pm. After Hours Party (21+) back at Portland's Mad Hanna neighborhood bar from 8:00pm until 2:00am with DJs spinning all varieties of fantasy synth music, deathrock & black metal!
SATURDAY AUGUST 3: Gather at OMSI’s Kendall Planetarium for a live space synth odyssey featuring the first ever Pacific Northwest performance by FOGLORD (Virginia) and an encore set by FOGWEAVER (Colorado)! Your wristband secures your seat for this intimate concert and we have a full dinner menu with beer & wine at concessions! Doors at 8:00pm.
SUNDAY AUGUST 4: Double feature films at Hollywood Theatre with the Oregon premiere of RIDDLE OF FIRE (2023) on 35mm (with a beautiful dungeon synth soundtrack featuring FOGWEAVER!) followed by FROG DREAMING, aka, THE QUEST (1986) with director Brian Trenchard-Smith in attendance! Doors open at 5:00pm for the Wyrd War Dungeon Market: Join us from 5:00pm-7:00pm for the official Wyrd War’s Dungeon Market with talented vendors lurking throughout the Hollywood Theatre’s hallowed halls. Zines, jewelry, dungeon synth and black metal vinyl, CDs & cassettes, original artwork, DIY role playing games, cult cinema memorabilia, shirts, candles, chainmail and more! RIDDLE OF FIRE starts at 7:00pm. FROG DREAMING starts at 9:30pm.
