Yesterday I went to see Jakob Alhbom's Horror. It is a play (mime!) that looks like a movie.
It is hard to explain exactly what I saw, but I urge anyone to check this out when (if ever) it will play near you.
The timing, special effects and sound is incredible. It is hard to believe everything is performed in real time right before your eyes.
He recreated some bits from legendary scenes from classic horror movies (Exorcist: walking down the stairs like a spider, Evil Dead 2: possessed hand, the Ring: girl crawls out of TV). All very cleverly done!
January 25 and 26 they will perform in London at the MimeLondon festival: http://www.mimelondon.com/jakop_ahlbom2016.html
Below is the teaser and here some more info: http://jakopahlbom.nl/voorstelling/horror/?lang=en
