Last night I saw my first Goblin (New Goblin) show at the Electric Ballroom in Camden.
Maybe it was down to it being my first Goblin show or just because they play that well but I was blown away.
90 minutes of prog funk jazz electronica greatness.
Highlights for sure were:
Roller
Snip Snap
Non Ho Sonno
Goblin
Zombi
Susperia
Tenebre
Profondo Rosso
For some tracks they had a video backdrop which was cool & Claudio mentioned they'd done Dawn of the Dead as a live soundtrack and were maybe going to try and bring that to London which would be pretty cool.
All in all for a first timer they blew my mind.
Even picked up a sweet Goblin logo shirt!
Even took a crummy gig photo…
This was Susperia.
*Edit*
I've been online and read some peoples comments about Claudio's Goblin & I honestly think some of these people must have been at a different show than I was.
A live show isn't just supposed to be a direct copy of the album. I want to hear different things, not just the same songs I expect.
Haters gonna hate.
