@chris I think you have a good point. there are a lot of hard surfaces in my room, or rather nothing soft, so I guess be weary of bright speakers. I'm also keen on bi-amping at some point partnering my Arcam with an affordable 2nd hand Arcam power amp.

Nice setup @frost. As the images are not clickable anymore, can you tell what equipment you use? Nice looking system!

Strange, it works for me. Can you only click on your own images?

Amp: NAD C326BEE
Turntable: DUAL 731 with Denon DL 110
Phono Pre: Musical Fidelity V-LPS II
DAC: Musical Fidelity V-DAC II
(Phone Pre and DAC powered with Musical Fidelity V-PSU II)
Tape: AKAI GX-R35
CD: Marantz CD-43
(Scored the Tape and CD player fora few bucks at a flea market)
Speakers: Nubert nuline 34 + Beovox 3000

I'm really happy with it right now and I don't know what the next step will be. Maybe find a replacement for the Beovox 3000,though the Nubert definitely do their job very well on their own in a small room. I would love to add a record vacuum cleaner but that would get me into trouble for sure.

I think Chad has fixed the images to be clickable again. At least they are for me in Chrome.

My Blackbird is home. I sent her off to SoundSmith about 6 weeks ago to be retipped. This is the second time they have done this for me on this cartridge. They also did the Clearaudio that is currently on the table. If you need your cartridge retipped they do a great job with several different options. Just be prepared for a possible lengthy wait. I did get mine back under the estimated 8-12 weeks turnaround they told me in an email.

@static, I went with the same build as before, Ruby Cantilever / Nude Contact Line Diamond. It takes friggen forever to mount. Especially when you forget a step and have to go back. Got it done before dinner and enjoying my first spin now. So, so, sweet. On she looks damn sexy on the table. :)

This is very weird. I cannot click on them on an iPhone and not on a desktop using Chrome

And on the 6th day he had lights.
This past Saturday I spent much of the day replacing the 12 bulbs in my MC300. What a tedious and PITA job it was! This is the second time I've had to do this. (I put this second installment off for a several years.) I must say, it's really nice having that soft greenish/blue glow in the meters and having that McIntosh name lit up again.

That's beautiful. I've always wanted McIntosh equipment but it's so far out of my price range it's not funny.

My old JVC I replaced the bulbs in after decades of them being blown, it was so nice to have lights in the front of it again. I wish the damn thing would work consistently.

Lovely glow @Tim. Is there anyway to substitute leds so they don't burn out as often?

@static, Yes, I posted this on the McIntosh facebook page and someone gave me a link to leds that work in it. I plan on getting a set and holding them till these burn out.

Oh damn, Tim. You run the game, sir. Would love to be able to drop round for a Goldsmith session one day. Or heck, an 'anything' session. :-D

An MC300, Brother Tim? That's likely my most coveted piece of McIntosh kit. Well done, sir.

@mateo, I've had it since 96 or 97. Back in the day when people put ads in the paper to sell stuff which is how I came across it. I'm the second owner. The original owner gave it to me at a very good price. Over the years I've thought about upgrading but I've never been able to pull the trigger. What I'd really like to do is get another and run them mono into my Thiel speakers. :)

Monoblock MC300s. Talk about living the dream. I look forward to the day when I see that picture posted here.
