I love your gear @Static. I doubt my ears will hear all the nuances your equipment brings because of the tinnitus I have. But my eyes definitely like what they see :-)

Here is my current living room setup after finally having hung most framed stuff I have.

Beautiful space @bez, really love seeing those original Italian posters framed above your door. They look wonderful.

@bez - I like your steez and bought a couple of those fat birds for my abode after you showed off yours a couple years back. Love that He-Man too.

Thank you guys! I have to say I am very pleased how this room evolved during the years. And my girlfriend likes it as well. I cannot watch a giallo with her but she doesn't mind being surrounded by those posters :-)

@Jimmy_Mike, those birds are fun but I stopped buying them as the became too expensive for me considering shipping and customs. And I have enough of them flying around :-)
I also have Skeletor!

I'm curious too actually. I assume they are electro-static, I've personally never been a huge fan of the ones I've heard which admitatly is restricted to a few pairs of Martin Logan's. One set was $50,000 and I thought they sound super clear but way too directional and lacked some of the low end punch a regular tower can achieve with out a sub.

agreed, if you have the space like static does they can sound amazing if you're in the sweet spot. i found the bass to be quite good too. maybe not the kind you can feel or to shake the picture frames on the wall, but you definitely didn't feel like you were missing something. at least the pair of maggies i listened to.

@Static
That room looks like it is created to contain stellar sounding music. I love your gear. And I also need some Rutger on my wall :-)

@guys
You that have Ikea Kallax or Expedit shelves, is it necessary to drill and attach shelf to the wall or is it sturdy enough to stay put and hold records on its own?

@Tron i always anchor them to the wall. If you have dead level hardwood floors you can probably get away without anchoring them.

Thanks for replying. I'm thinking of getting 2*4 Kallax so there probably would not be that much pressure from records...

I would say you have to hold them to the wall the danger of them falling forward is probably very small but I think a fully loaded shelf hit from the side could easily collapse, and trash your shelf and collection. I have 2 X 2 by 4 and a 1 by 4 all standing so the short end is on the floor.
