So I got this copy of The Abyss today. It was still in shrink but had been opened. Looks like at some point it got wet or was in high humidity and the shrink got smaller. It's all wavy as you can see in the pic below.

Any one have an idea to make this any better? Or just leave it?

You can try ironing it.

place it on a really flat hard surface, place a thin non textured cloth over it and iron on low heat, repeat as necessary. :) not a guaranteed fix but i've had some success before with wavy thin jackets like that before.

Once you're happy with the results place it between some heavy books (or whatever) and leave it to completely cool. at least a few hours.

Thanks, my initial though was to try ironing with a shirt over top but wanted to see if anyone else had tried it lol. I'll give it a go this evening

Looks like that's a laminated sleeve so just be extra careful with the temperature boss :)

Well that worked out pretty good. I ironed it on low heat between two towels. The I placed it under a bunch of heavy books for 2 days.
