So going into effect today UMG has done one of their price hikes for vinyl but this is a very big one. Records that have been selling for $25 will be marked up to $45. This may be done to slow vinyl purchasing and alleviate supply chain issues but lets be honest here this is entirely designed to see how much money they can siphon out of fans.

We already see prices like this from Waxworks but I fear this is going to drive Mondo prices up again and some others just to match the current hellscape this hobby has become.

This will make sticking to my new years resolution, reducing my vinyl purchasing, that much easier.

yeah, my selectivity has increased, and i'm more looking for vintage goodness these days than anything else.
