What's your top 5 most "valuable" records? [according to discogs]

So I was adding a few records to my discogs collection today and I haven't checked in a while so I decided to sort by max value of record sold. I was a little surprised by the results. I knew one of them went for a lot at one point but to see 3 Mars Volta records take up the top 5 was kind of crazy. I'm sure @tex is full of OG library pressings but I'm curious to see what discogs says your top 5 most "valuable" records are. Just to clarify I sorted by the max amount a record has sold for not the median just to keep things spicy

If folks are not comfortable doing this is public I can move it (or have an admin move it to the private corner of our little collective)

I think you have to sort by median. If i do max I get some weird aberrations like a beatles record, and led zepplin selling for nonsense prices In the thousands when the median is like $20.

Wow that LOTR box got a little out of control. Never heard of that Morricone. This is why I find this stuff interesting, I would have never imagined a David Gilmore record on there. Very cool

I love that one of these is The Keep

Apparently mine is the Beatles 2014 mono box set which people are really shelling out for these days.

I put the top 6, because honestly, who knows which pressing the Joy Division is. Very surprised to see Blade Runner in there, I thought that had been pretty much always in press since 2013.

Blade Runner has been repressed, but the very first 'limited red' has been kind of a collector item. I remember buying it for like, 17$ on amazon. and after it sold out, it rose in value a lot.

oh, Bez, I didn't realize ''Sei Donne...'' was worth that much, It wasn't on my discogs. I just realized I never added it to my collection but I do have that one.
Also, I wish I had bought the Lahaie Comp. Regrets.

Now as a fun treat everyone give me your addresses and let me know when you won’t be home, and also leave a door unlocked, because really who wants to live in a time when we need to lock our doors?!

I am surprised Only Lovers Left Alive is that much, they pressed quite a few

I wonder why the Beck reissues stopped. Maybe the masters burned in the Universal fire. They never went back and did Midnite Vultures or The Information.

Yeah I’m shocked about Only Lovers...very cool record that I’m glad to have but I never would have thought to keep an eye on it.

It's because it's an Audio Fidelity pressing. Pretty much anything they did was aural gold. Even their pressings of huge pop albums routinely go for north of $150 when originals might be had for less than half the cost.
