Madlib - Shades of Blue

Blue Notes new Classic series reissue. Kevin Grey mastering. I haven't had a chance to A/B my old copy to the new one but it sounds quite nice.

Sadhugold - Sadhugunn

Sadhu remixes tracks he's done for Westside Gunn and a few other. It's lofi and dirty remixes and it works really well. I like it quite a bit.

A few recent Osamu Shoji records that landed in the collection. Both are very good and come from the Digital Trip Synthesizer Fantasy series.

Huge fan of R.L. Burnside. A buddy and me covered a lot of his versions of songs in a band many years ago. Hillstomp Mississippi blues at it's finest (right there with Junior Kimbrough)

@thecultleader brought this one to my attention in here. Weirdly expensive single LP from Mello Music Group. Found a good deal on a sealed copy for almost half of retail. It's a great record and one that I some how just missed when it came out.

Imported Goodz - Siam

Lots of great features on here over beats that sample Thai music from producer Imported Goodz

Goose - Dripfield

The Mrs bought herself a few records over the weekend. She's really been into Goose lately, it's funny bc I almost bought this for her last week. I prefer their live shows but this is a decent album

This album is very dope. One of those records that for one reason or another really stuck with me. Love the whole vibe. Black Milk isn't the most technical rapper, but he's a good storyteller and his beats are nice. Needledrop or someone else can probably sell it better than me, but definitely worth checking out if you haven't listened to it.

Black Milk is a great producer. This is probably my favorite of his solo stuff, although I really enjoy Tronic as well. I'm a big fan of Random Axe and Black & Brown as well for his collab projects.

Yea I liked both of those. I had the Random Axe record but must have sold it cause I don't see it on my shelf. Did a purge a few years ago and sold some dope records I kind of miss. Some PUTS, Billy Woods, Gangrene to name a few.

Random Axe was one of those records I put off buying for ages and then when I decided to grab a copy they were over $100. No interest in that.

I was late to discovering Billy Woods so I'm missing a few of his best records on vinyl like Today I Wrote Nothing, Hiding Places and Terror Management. He seems pretty good about repressing stuff so hopefully those will all be in the near future.

I managed to snag a copy of Coheed's In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3. One of my favorite albums. Old stock from the 2014 pressing have been popping up in a few shops lately, very small quantities.

Finally got this in secondhand from a friend who was able to grab me copy late on a restock. I completely forgot about the drop and missed so got lucky my bud got me one.

I've been skipping Daupe releases these days since for a double LP it's upwards $86 with shipping. I'll probably grab 10 if I can find a deal on a copy, I like a handful of tracks but wasn't too big on it. That Flygod Jr track is terrible though lol.

Another excellent release from Ja'King. He's a hell of a writer. Lucked out on ebay and scored this for about half of retail

Osamu Shoji - Luna Sea

Been after this for a few years. The same seller I bought that Star Wars record from had this. I'm hoping a few other hard to find Shoji's surface from this seller

Big 80s synth, side A is very upbeat while side B is a little more varied. It should be on YouTube if anyone is curious to hear it. Absolutely love the artwork on it
