Conway & Westside Gunn - Hall & Nash
This is a boot of one of Griselda's highly sought after early records. It's one of my favorites from them so I'm pretty happy to have a copy of it.

Banda Maje - UFO Bar

This is an interesting one, some great tracks on here, feels like a bit of disco, 70's funk, pop and a whole lot of Italian. The weird hip-hop track right in the middle could have been left off imo but outside of that it's a very enjoyable listen.

Picked this up today. What a record. My guy has nice OG pressings of his other stuff (both the US and UK versions of his solo debut) but this is the one I come back to so for now I think I’ll stick to this one only on wax. (For now, lol)

Yeah man, some friends and I got together and watched Return of the living Dead the other night and at first it sparked a Damned kick for a bit that quickly shifted here

Deux Filles - Shadow Farming LP

One of the filles is Simon Fisher Turner, who composed many of the soundtracks for Derek Jarman's films.

Conway - G.O.A.T.
Finally got a repress, this is probably my second favorite Conway album. Produced by Daringer with the exception of one track by Alchemist. Really great grimey boom bap.

Tony Newton - Mysticism & Romance
I was intersted in this one when I saw the original announcements but kind of forgot about by the time it released. I got an email from Fatbeats a little over a week ago with a 15% off discount and this was at the bottom with a few other albums for promo. With the code it ended up being right around $20 so I grabbed it. It's great. Kind of all over the place style wise, funk, jazz fusion, spacey synths. It's quite the enjoyable listen. I have never heard an original so I'm not sure if it's just the way the album is or not but for an artist who's known for his bass playing the low end here is severely lacking. Overall the album feels a little on the quiet side and kind of flat. Again I have nothing to compare it to and an OG is close to $100 these days so I don't plan on buying one for comparison.

@scojo

Are you talking about 'the orchestra of the eighth day LP? It's really great, here is a pic of the back of the LP which explains more. Duo Out of Poland in the early 80's, one of which went on to do score for films later in life. I also recently picked up another, cheaper, LP of theirs I mentioned here before.

Interesting early 80s ambient experiential group out of Poland, if you like TD you might dig this. Kaczmarek from the group went on to scoring music for film.

Aidan Baker - Pure Drone (Drone Compendium One) LP

The first in what was to be seven drone albums based around Baker-related projects. After offering a subscription for the series, the label released the first three and then quietly vanished -- no emails, no prorated refunds, nothing.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see what do they next. I'm gonna miss that Chromatics/IDIB aesthetic vibe though.

Sierra Ferrell - Long Time Coming

Quite a fitting title, I've been following Sierra for a few years now since discovering her on the youtube channel GemsonVHS. (If you are a fan of folk/country this channel and WesternAF are what you should be following. So many incredible discoveries. ) She has released a few albums indepentdently on bandcamp, filmed a ton performances over the last few years but she finally landed a record deal with Rounder Records (big deal in the realm of bluegrass/country). They paid for her to record an album and she pulled no punches. This thing is big, full of guests (Tim O Brien, Jerry Douglas, Billy Strings, Sarah Jarosz) and sound fantastic. She has rerecorded some tracks she previously released, record a few that she had written and put out with performances on youtube and a few new tracks as well. I absolutely adore her voice and this album is quite a treat.

Harglow - RE (HEXED + DACTED)

A great remix double lp of the Harglow debut for a few years ago. Remixes from some heavy hitters in the modern synth scape (imo), Espectrostatic, Graham Reznick, Phantoms Vs Fire, Metavari, Umberto, Antoni Maiovvi & Timothy Fife. I've been through the first LP and enjoy it quite a bit, I'm usually not one for remix albums but this is pretty great.

Cindytalk - In This World 2-LPs

I had the CD for years, but I bought it used, and it has all kinds of surface scratches on it. Decided to replace it with the reissue that came out in 2007.
