Steve Earle
Train A Comin'

Story time. I've always considered this Steve's best album, he's a great song writer that's dabbled in standard Nashville sound (early career), electronic infused Americanna (mid 00's), loose sloppy "live" studio recording (10's to present). It varies in quality from a musical standpoint. Train A Comin' is his pinnacle for me, his playing is tight, he hired some great session players and his song writing was strong after a stint in jail for drugs. I've had the CD for years, I never even thought to see if there was a LP of it. My wife had mentioned it recently so I went to discogs and found this copy for a reasonable price. I ended up giving it to my wife for xmas and she was thrilled. It just so happens that the song Nothing Without You is a song my father has played for many years when we all get together to play music. My wife never really listened to Steve outside of what I put on but this song stuck out to her the first time she heard it and it became one of her favorites. It was our wedding song and we had my father actually perform it for us at our wedding rather than just play Steve's version. Long winded write up to express my appreciation for a record I've overlooked for years and I'm happy to have it in my collection finally.

That's a lovely tale, Inks. I think ol' Steve would be proud to hear it.
